Paint on walls: The Republic of Užupis

Some fantastic art on the streets of the Republic of Uzopio Lithuania. The Republic has its own written constitution, whilst you admire the wonderful paint on walls here are a few of the 38 articles of the constitution.

Everyone has the right to be happy, even if they are not.

To be honest, it’s hard to pick just one piece, or just one painting, from all those murals, they’re spectacular, each in its own style, and also very expressive; they really speak to the viewer. I like how you’ve included a short caption beneath them, about what people do or don’t have the right to do. One of my favourites, because of the way it’s painted, is the woman with the red mask, but generally I like them all, because they speak to free expression, creativity and a way of expressing thoughts.

I’ve absolutely loved this place, which has so much to say and show; thank you for bringing it to us. A big hug!🤗

Great selection of StreetArt... It's really cool to present the city's constitution with works of art. I especially like the hedgehog stencil. Thanks for sharing all these pics on The StreetArt Community.
