Rural Urbex: I expected more.
Built in the 18th century Minera Hall was the former family home of the Duttons a timber importing magnate whose buisness collapsed when japan invaded Burma in WW2 halting the teak trade, in the later part of the 20th Century the hall became the village RBL club and now stands empty and derelict.
As I approached this big pile I thought great it’s gonna be dark in there all the ground floor windows bricked up, I mean come on what’s wrong with cheap ply board? Hmm cameras and alarms too must be something inside for all that effort.
Best go into SAS mode and keep to the extremities, round the back and over the wall I went.
A classy sentiment had been scrawled at some point and whoop Dee freakin dooo, a big hole in the wall
And so began the journey for treasures which turned up peeling wallpaper and a copy of the daily mirror from 2006
I can’t resist a door that needs opening, now that’s one big old chunk of A steel safe, no one is gonna get that open in a hurry
I also abandoned the idea of tramping around upstairs the floor and stairway were pretty sketchy
A staircase going down to the basement, tread carefully as I descend, another door, got to take a look, frigging hell its dark and dank
Entering through that door my torch barely lit up the surroundings, it was at this point I squealed like a girlie. ‘What the fuck is that” I exclaimed to no one in particular I just needed to say it
Be still my beating heart, take some snaps, role the dice and fuck off out of here
I need to calm down more, my maxim is always that my glass is always more than half full, maybe when I’m out mooching my glass should be containing just a few droplets in the bottom.
Ok it’s great to see inside some of these places, and then again sometimes I think why have I risked life and limb for this bollocks; never mind an actual hour of my life that could be better spent playing golf clash or surfing pornhub.
Long live the kardashians!

This is why we do it, to get your heart beating faster.. the danger! Even if its just clumps of white mold in this case.
It takes a lot to put me off going upstairs, like having no stairs!
Hint; stick to bungalows 😂
Is that white stuff all mould? I've never seen anything quite like that before. I bet that place could be stunning again if bought by somebody with a little imagination and a big pile of cash.
Not sure what it was freaked me out at first could be some sort of dry rot or mould.
A big pile of dosh required methinks
I've seen some white stuff in many abandoned places here, but not such massive amounts, just small stalagtites, I think it's the same. Weather, moisture and the ghostplasma from the other side probably 😁😁 Boo!
Ah no, the paranormal, thank fuck there is not of that nonsense here.....
......or?
