Rural Urbex: The lodge on the lake

This started out as a non Urbex walk in the Shropshire countryside. It did not end that way.

Hello, time for a slight detour, surely it’s got to be worth a quickie, I like quickies.

Close up it was like something out of Hansel and Gretel

Squeezing through a tiny window brought me into a strange shaped room which I first viewed looking up from from the floor, not because I’m artistic, more that my flosberry flop over a wall radiator didn’t go as planned. Pity the windows are boarded up I thought: said radiator would have been spotted

Now I was confused the lodge was bigger than one room,

Izzy whizzy let’s get bizzy
Kaboom!
Interesting, I wonder what lies beyond the secret doors

( take note of my intelligence, I’m now switching from The Brothers Grimm to C S Lewis)

Is this a bit like The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe, get me to fucking Narnia.....

Nope, not Narnia; no Aslan, no white witch, just some emptyish derpy rooms.

Not quite sure what this is, but it’s bottle shaped and rather ornately decorated leather.

This I can tell you is an oven with hob.

This has got to be the flashiest toilet I have ever seen, I mean come on ya only sits down to have a dump.
“Too jazzy”......

I think this has got to be the best bit of mouldy decay I have come across in a residential property

So back to my countryside ramble, I enjoyed the slightest of detours. At times one comes across the strangest of places in the middle of nowhere.
