Skanksville, Liverpool February 2020
Driving through the outskirts of the city on the hunt for DERP’s I stopped for some liquid refreshment and espyed this behemoth through some hoardings. Hmm well it would be rude not to!
Got in through a small opening into the pitch black basement and worked my way up. What a sketchy place this was.
Got to the 1st floor and had to dismantle a barricade of beds that had been built across the landing no problemo
Had a mooch ok! So next floor up we go, this is the first time I have had to climb through barbed wire INSIDE a building. No wonder looks like the meeting place for the local smackheads. Excellent find.
My kids went bonkers with me when I got home, til I reminded them of one of the rules I live my life by
“If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space”
This is an old Victorian built building formerly a school for young ladies, latterly a residential home for men 18-64 with mental illness. It shut in 2016, even though it was getting decent audit reports.
Enjoy the visit!
Indoor barbed wire, that's a good one!
Yeah awesome
