Travels through Nepal, my journeys through the subcontinent
A few years back, before the devastating earthquake my journey took me on a Nepalese road trip.
Taking in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Bhaktapur and I guess several small villages en route, the names of which are lost from my memory. It is different in many ways to India, including the half hour time difference.

Nepal is a poor country by any standard, yet the people are warm and friendly
Walking the streets alone felt and was very safe. Folk just kept themselves to themselves,
Stupas and prayer flags and the ‘Om mani padme hum’ ringing in one’s ears, never gets tiresome.
