La Eterna Búsqueda del Estilo de Dibujo - The Everlasting Search for the Drawing Style

Desde que tengo memoria me gusta dibujar, de niña lo hacía como juego con algunos de mis primos a quienes también les llamaba la atención dibujar. De cinco que jugábamos a dibujar, tres de nosotros nos dedicamos de profesión a cuestiones artísticas. En realidad el empezar a dibujar fue un juego para mi y nunca me preocupe por nada más que divertirme.
Al crecer y reconocer que la ilustración sería de lo que viviría, empezaron a llegar preocupaciones como: hasta cuándo sería lo suficientemente buena como para dedicarme profesionalmente y vivir de ello.
Encontrar mi estilo de dibujo fue la principal problemática.
Debido a mis gustos de toda la vida, el día de hoy puedo decir que mi estilo es 90% anime y hasta hace un año batallaba en la búsqueda del dichoso estilo. Fue hasta después de mucha mucha práctica y experimentación, bam! encontré mi estilo al que denominó ANIME CHIBI KAWAII.
Sin embargo, pese a toda la búsqueda, me doy cuenta que encontrar un estilo no es el fin del camino. Creo que el estilo que adopte es mi zona segura y está muy bien, me gusta estar en ella, pero a la vez después de un rato me aburre y siento que necesito más. Por eso les comparto este dibujo que hice de forma libre sin ningún tipo de plantación.
Solo deje que la mano trazara lo que quisiera para encontrar forma al trazo y plasmar algo que no fuera mi estilo refiriéndome a lo último que he hecho y fue muy satisfactorio, relajante y divertido. Como cuando era niña y jugaba a dibujar con mis primos.

Ever since I have memory I remember that I loved to draw, when I was a little girl I did it as a game with some of my cousins that also liked to draw. Of the five cousins that used drawing as a game, three of us work professionally on artistic things. Drawing started as a game to me and I never thought of anything else than having fun.
Growing up and recognizing that I would make a living out of my illustration many worries started to come to mind like this one: until when will I be good enough to do this professionally and live off it.
Finding my drawing style was the main problem to solve.
Because of the things that I’ve liked all my life I can say that my style is 90% anime and up until some years I was battling in the search of this style it was after a lot of practice and experimentation, bamm! I found my style that I denominate ANIME CHIBI KAWAII.
However, after all the search, I realize that finding a style is not the end of the road. I think that the style that I have adopted is like my comfort zone and that’s ok, I like being there, but at the same time I get bored quickly and I feel like I need more. That’s why I am sharing this drawing that I did freely without any kind of barrier.
I just let my hand free to make the traces as she wished and to draw something that is not my particular style, this was very satisfying, relaxing, and fun. Just as when I was a little girl and played while making drawings with my cousins.

Creo que en realidad llevamos dentro todos los estilos que pueden existir, algunas veces nos gusta más uno u otro, y por eso lo desarrollamos más, pero definitivamente somos capaces de utilizar todos los estilos existentes y por haber, hablando de estilos, he estado viendo muchos en fotografía durante los últimos días, y cuando se mezclan... Bueno, creo que me gustan mucho más 😁
Así es! Aunque algunos estilos salen más naturales que otros, en mi caso pasé por varios para llegar al que tengo ahora. Saludos!

Thank you very much! Enjoy the journey, the thing that worked for me is to draw daily and not being afraid of trying out new things. It's a process and the most important thing is to make it fun!

Me gusta mucho cuando abordas esta clase de temas porque siempre hablas desde tu propia experiencia de una manera muy transparente y linda 💕 el tema del estilo propio me preocupaba porque no tenerlo "concretado" te hace sentir que estas... ¿a la deriva?, no se muy bien como explicarlo pero me alegra mucho saber que haber encontrado un estilo propio no te ha restringido para experimentar 👏
