Inspiration

All part of a song by the deceased Venezuelan singer Alí Primera, in a song dedicated to Venezuela, he refers that:

the homeland is a woman... and the return to love her,

This idea makes me think about what image would reflect that concept that the Latin community has called Cotinaart, of course not in search of a logo, or image prototype, because that would be something selfish, rather it is my own vision of how it would be an image that reflects this set of ideas that are embraced under a somewhat idealistic word.

An Idea is born :
On some occasion on a transcontinental trip, when the plane reaches its highest altitude at cruising speed, perhaps to calm my nerves, after having a glass of wine, I resorted to listening to music from the programming available on the plane, As you know, the front seat has a small computer for informational and entertainment purposes, but back to the point.

Let's say that it's quite bad that when searching the musical repertoire they have several categories and then you notice that the only one that identifies us as LATIN MUSIC contains only a rhythm or modern style of Caribbean origin that I am not going to mention, but you can imagine it. And the thing is that I don't have anything to find about these songs, but cramaba you can't stop thinking at that moment, Latinos are much more than that... Only in Venezuela there are a lot of rhythms and musical styles, gosh, not to mention, of our sister Republic of Colombia, with its cumbia and vallenato, among others.

Argentina and its tango, Cuba and its rhythms, so excuse me for those I haven't mentioned...

Thus, the idea of ​​creating an image or a set of images (It is an open invitation) was born, showing all the culture contained in that concept called cotinaart.

Commitment size, it is not easy and I am not going to say that my image presented here is appropriate for this purpose, the idea that I try to share is that that word that some of our moderators proposed as an alternative to identify us with a label within the ecosystem of steemit, also gives rise to a paradox and it is like thinking about all this content.

I don't think my composition is masterful, in fact it's quite simple, but after explaining the context a bit we see some of the components of the image.

Cotina Art

A surrealism that shows an asexual being, whose face is divided into a female part (Latin America has a woman's face) and the other part of the face is futuristic, wild (This reflects that we are young countries and the feline eye reflects our Amazon diversity),

On the cheek a kind of mark or mole in the shape of the magnificent Latin territory.

Above the wild eye there are some holes and under it some rivers that seem to be many tears, this reflects the historical looting of our raw materials and natural wealth.

A kind of barcode that says 188619, referring to our hive. (I hope I'm not wrong).

In the beard a brand that simulates to be the steem logo.

In the pupil of the woman's eye, two drops of brightness, in one we have the cross, in the other two columns that reflect our beliefs prior to Christianity.

We have a lot of culture, pre-Hispanic but I simply wanted to place a well-known one, so on the forehead a kind of sacred stone, which we see the famous spider of the Nazca lines.

On the shoulder a tattoo that says Art.

And a large neuron in the form of hair that represents all the richness that exists in the creativity of each of the Latin artists. Whether cartoonists, musicians, dancers, this neuron embraces and spreads, just as we embrace foreign ideas but also take our own to other latitudes. I think that with this we have described the drawing.
