SOME RANDOM FACTS !

avatar

Hello guys , hope you are enjoying your life. I haven't post anything for a long time, now I am free as my exam is overšŸ˜‰. So today I will post about some random but interesting facts.

FACT:1
ORIGIN OF HALLOWEEN šŸŽƒ:

The Celts, who lived 2,000 years ago, mostly in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom and northern France, celebrated their new year on November 1.

This day marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter, a time of year that was often associated with human death. Celts believed that on the night before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. On the night of October 31, they celebrated Samhain when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth.

When the celebration was over, they re-lit their hearth fires, which they had extinguished earlier that evening, from the sacred bonfire to help protect them during the coming winter.

FACT:2
A SURVIVING SOCCER BALLāš½:

On the fateful day of January 28th, 1986, the skies over the coast of Florida lit ablaze. The Challenger shuttle had just exploded, 73 seconds after takeoff, instantly killing all seven crew members.

In total, the Challenger explosion created 14 tons of debris scattered across the Florida coast and floating in the Atlantic ocean. While many objects survived the blast, perhaps most notable is that of a tattered soccer ball covered in messages from schoolchildren in Texas.

Ellison Onizuka was one of the astronauts on the Challenger flight, and his daughter, Janelle, had given him that soccer ball ahead of the launch for good luck. The ball itself was no more than a practice ball used by Janelle's team, but it was signed by her teammates and said: "Good Luck, Shuttle Crew," on the side in big blue letters.

FACT:3
THE SOOTHING EFFECT OF TEARS šŸ„²:

There are three different types of tears: reflex, continuous, and emotional tears.

Reflex tears clear debris, like smoke and dust, from your eyes. Continuous tears lubricate your eyes and help protect them from infection. Emotional tears may have many health benefits. While continuous tears contain 98 percent water, emotional tears contain stress hormones and toxins. Researchers have theorized that crying flushes these things out of your system, though more research is needed in this area.

Crying may be one of your best mechanisms to self-soothe. Researchers have found that crying activates the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS). The PNS helps your body rest and digest. The benefits arenā€™t immediate, however. It may take several minutes of shedding tears before you feel the soothing effects of crying.

Crying for long periods releases oxytocin and endogenous opioids, otherwise known as endorphins. These feel-good chemicals can help ease both physical and emotional pain. Once the endorphins are released, your body may go into somewhat of a numb stage. Oxytocin can give you a sense of calm or well-being. Itā€™s another example of how crying is a self-soothing action.

Along with helping you ease pain, crying, specifically sobbing, may even lift your spirits. When you sob, you take in many quick breaths of cool air. Breathing in cooler air can help regulate and even lower the temperature of your brain. A cool brain is more pleasurable to your body and mind than a warm brain. As a result, your mood may improve after a sobbing episode.

If youā€™re feeling blue, crying is a way to let those around you know you need support; this is known as an interpersonal benefit. Since you were a baby, crying has been an attachment behavior. Its function is in many ways to obtain comfort and care from others. In other words, it helps to build up your social support network when the going gets tough.

Grieving is a process. It involves periods of sorrow, numbness, guilt, and anger. Crying doesnā€™t only happen in response to something sad. Sometimes you may cry when extremely happy, scared, or stressed. Researchers at Yale University believe crying in this way may help restore emotional equilibrium. When youā€™re incredibly happy or scared about something and cry, it may be your bodyā€™s way to recover from experiencing such a strong emotion.

Yes this is the end , thanks all for giving their precious time šŸ˜ƒ
THANKS.

Hi @guuduop and welcome to Hive as I see you're new. Thanks for sharing these facts with us, it's interesting and also educative. I'd like to suggest Hive Learners community for these type of topics next time s OCD community is for topics that don't fit in any other community.

I see you're new on Hive, so let me drop you a few suggestions to help you navigate better on our platform.

We have different communities on Hive and we're encouraging users to post in the right community based on the topic of the post.

Here's a guide I put together to help you learn about how communities work and why you should use them -> Communities Explained - Newbie Guide. I also put together a list of communities, which is not complete, there are much more communities on Hive, but it will help you get started.

Once you posted your post in the right community, you can then cross post it to OCD community. Here's a guide about cross posting.

Please don't delete any post with the purpose of reposting it in another community as that can be considered abuse! Leave this post here, you'll get it right next time.

Good to hear that you have finished your exams.

I'm sure when you took your exams you answered all the questions yourself and you do not cheat. The same applies to Hive, we write our own posts, we do not plagiarise content like you have here and in your other posts.

You were clearly told not to plagiarise in your introduction post by Lovesniper, but you did not even bother to respond to their comment. Please go back to read that comment and all the information they suggested you to read, and do not ever plagiarise on Hive again.

@th4488 acidyo took a leap of faith and trusted you in @guuduop's introduction post, please help him to make sure he stays in the right track.

Hello @livinguktaiwan

I am very upset for his miss did. When he post I read it.I told him in whatsapp who wrote the article as I know, he cann't be so good in writting. He said a senior of his college helped him out.

I said to him his senior might copy it from somewhere else or he is a extraordinary writer because skill was good enough. And I also added "hope your friend didn't copy it"

I didn't know how to check palagarism but @bhattg from indiaunited helped me out yestarday.I saw myself that @guuduop has copied 65% from somewhere else.

He also very sad cause he won a giveaway from indiaunited. He promised me that he won't do it again. From now he will write his own.He may have some problem writing in English and I suggested him to use translator.

He is my online friend and we always communicate through WhatsApp and both of us used to play clash of clans and still we are playing.I always try to guide him and I always will.I know a student does something wrong, the responsibility goes to him and I am extremely sorry for that.

Once again guuduop bro , why don't you reply to people who commented in our post? Must go through luvspiner's comment and livinguktaiwan's warning āš ļø carefully..lol.

Hello @livinguktaiwan, Really i m feeling very guilty for which I had done in my last post, as my exam was conducting so I didn't get any time for a post but I had told about hive to my senior brother so he contacted me a day before of my last exam that he wanted to post something and almost all things are ready for the post so I have told him to create an account then post it there but he wanted to post that in my account ,so I agreed. Then I posted it. I didn't know how things work in hive but @th4488 guides me always. From now I will definately reply to my comments. My first fault is that I had dependend on another person for my own post . Sorry , i promise that I will never post anything from any other source or person . SORRY šŸ˜”.

You should never let anyone use your account, just like you would not give your bank account or computer login details to anyone.

Hive will support genuine original quality content creators, so it's up to you what you want to do on Hive and which path you take.
