Market Cards in Short Supply - Lands are on the Horizon

Hive represents an exciting blockchain ecosystem filled with promising possibilities. Their are many project which are built on the Hive blockchain and Splinterlands a Play2earn game is one of them which is evergreen and shining in this segment. The game offers a offering lucrative avenues for players to earn rewards. The game is based on simple concept and expended so much and attracts new user base as new players are joining everyday. At present we are going though the bear market and the effect of same is also seen on Splinterlands assets as all the game assets are very low. Investing during the bear market in the good projects gives multiplier rewards when the bulls come back. People feel safe and invest more and search for the new opportunities when the bull run starts again. For every project to sustain in the market and to support the price two things are must one is the use case for token and other is the sink method of assets.

New USE Case for DEC and Cards

The long awaiting Land are just around the corner. The update will be a big update in the Splinterlands ecosystem and change the tokenomics of the game. The game assets are low as a effect of the bear market but the land has the capabilities to change the current situation of the same. At present a large quantity of the cards is flooded in the market resulting the drop in rental market and overall card market, DEC market is also not performed much good.
Players are preparing for the land they need to keep on mind few important aspects of different games.
The First is Ensure that You must Own Enough Cards to stake on plots.
For Land 1.5, the players can only use their owned cards (except delegated Runi) so keep in mind to transfer the cards to appropriate account prior to the launch of Land 1.5. Delegated cards and rented cards cannot work on land, though this may be implemented in a future release. This may be the disappointment for the new players or for the users that were planned of the use the rental market, they have to wait more to use the delegated card on plots. The users are allowed to use the five cards per plots (Runi is exception and can be used as sixth card). The Production Points will be used to calculate the rewards. Each rarity of the cards add different Production Points in the players account on lands. Please check the below screen shot for reference.

Common cards has less Production Points followed by the Rare and Epic cards. The Legendary cards has the highest Production Points. The Gold foil also add more Production Points. From the screen shot it may be quickly observed that the Production Points also directly depend on the BXC of card staked on plot.
Here you must understand the Edition or Rarity are important but as the card BCX increase the Production Points also increased.
Looking at the different BCX required for level upgrade in case of the common Beta cards, The maximum level card required 505 BCX. That means each slot of worker on land has the capability of sink 505 BCXs.

If we look at the market at present their are not much max level beta cards are available to purchase. Even the total BCX available in market are not enough to fill the plot requirement. Very limited no of cards are available for purchase in case of Alpha & Beta edition.

Their is no restriction to use the any splinter cards on any of the land but their are terrain preference which increase the certain percentage when using specific splinter cards on suitable land. Their is negative effect also if player used the non suitable splinter cards on lands.

So do not forget to check the Terrain Preference sheet to choose the suitable splinter cards as per the land you own.

Final Words

No doubt the lands are long awaited and all community members has the big hopes for the release. To fully utilize the plots the players must use suitable cards and max level or higher BCX cards to earn more Production Points. It looks like the market is already has short of cards even before the release of the Lands.
