sketchbook day 1, drawing monkey

Welcome to day 1 of the sketchbook series, and today I will sketch a monkey. This series of sketchbooks will end when my sketchbook is full and then there will be an ending blog.

Idea of sketch sketchbook series
So since i got to hive i never noticed that i haven't even posted a blog of my drawings so i decided to let's make this series and have a look at my drawings. And instead of showing a boring picture of the process of how I made it, I will always have a video instead. With a description.

Drawing

So I started with getting some ideas from pinterest and then found a picture of a monkey, and I really like monkeys so I decided to sketch it, but all of my pens were broken so I need to sharpen them. I started with the sketch and then took my faber castell fineliner to do the line art and then used a fineliner brush tool to fill in a more dynamic style. Then in the end I wrote a monkey in Japanese on his shirt and then filled it in with my favorite color, fluorescent orange.

and this video I have made. The reason for making this video was that I think it's boring to process pictures so I thought this would be much more fun. I will continue this series as long as I can.
