Como lo prometí en mi publicación anterior, hoy quiero compartir con todos ustedes un día muy especial para mí, se trata de la culminación de un proyecto profesional que emprendí en el año 2017 y que finaliza con un ”Un Acto Solemne de Grado”.
As promised in my previous post, today I want to share with all of you a very special day for me, it is the culmination of a professional project that I undertook in 2017 and that ends with a "A Solemn Act of Degree".

Al finalizar el año 2021 me tracé entre otros proyectos el culminar mi maestría, que por problemas de la pandemia y algunos asuntos personales se había retrasado un poco en cuanto a la defensa final del trabajo de grado, requisito obligatorio para optar al grado de Magister en Educación, Mención: Investigación Educacional. Quiero compartir con ustedes este logro que resulta ser muy importante, ya que para mí fue todo un reto mi trabajo de grado, porque lo realice bajo el enfoque cualitativo y no me encontraba familiarizada con este tipo de investigación, ya que por mi especialidad solo había realizado trabajos cuantitativos y que por el tipo de maestría debo manejar ambos enfoques, así como todos los tipos de investigación.
Así que fue todo un reto, muchas noches de leer muchísimo, semanas enteras para escribir un solo párrafo y sobre todo muchos momentos de desanimo donde pensé en abandonar. Es por ello que decidí disfrutar al máximo mi acto de grado y celebrarlo junto a mi familia y amigos.
At the end of the year 2021, among other projects, I planned to finish my master's degree, which due to problems of the pandemic and some personal issues had been delayed a little in terms of the final defense of the degree work, a mandatory requirement to qualify for the degree of Master in Education, Mention: Educational Research. I want to share with you this achievement that turns out to be very important, because for me it was a challenge my degree work, because I did it under the qualitative approach and I was not familiar with this type of research, since by my specialty I had only done quantitative work and that by the type of master's degree I must handle both approaches, as well as all types of research.So it was quite a challenge, many nights of reading a lot, weeks to write a single paragraph and above all many moments of discouragement where I thought about giving up. That is why I decided to enjoy my graduation ceremony to the fullest and celebrate it with my family and friends.
Mi día al fin llego, el martes 26 de julio de 2022 a las 11:00 am era el horario pautado para los graduandos de pregrado en las especialidades de Educ. Musical, Educ. Preescolar, Biología, Física, Química, Informática, Matemática, Ingles, Lengua y Literatura, así como Especialistas, Magister y Doctores. El día anterior fui arreglarme el cabello y mi querida hermana @kiutvariedades terminó mi vestido, planche la toga y todo estaba listo para el siguiente día; al contrario del día de la firma esa noche dormí como un bebe, e incluso me levante más tarde que el día de la firma. Cabe resaltar, que este día si iba toda mi familia con pases de entrada para mi mamá y mi papá.
My day finally arrived, Tuesday July 26, 2022 at 11:00 am was the scheduled time for undergraduate graduates in the specialties of Music Education, Preschool Education, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, English, Language and Literature, as well as Specialists, Masters and Doctors. The day before I went to get my hair done and my dear sister @kiutvariedades finished my dress, ironed the gown and everything was ready for the next day; unlike the day of the signing that night I slept like a baby, and even woke up later than the day of the signing. It is worth mentioning that this day my whole family was there with entrance passes for my mom and dad.
Como cosa rara salimos un poco tarde, además que llovió muy fuerte durante casi toda la mañana; al fin llegamos y lo primero que hice fue ir al toldo de los fotógrafos a tomarme las fotos de paquete, inmediatamente comenzamos a tomarnos fotos por todas partes. Luego lleve a mis papas donde harían la cola para ingresar al auditorio, allí se encontraban también los papas de mi amiga quien al igual que yo recibiría su título de Magister.
As a rare thing we left a little late, plus it rained very hard for most of the morning; finally we arrived and the first thing I did was to go to the photographers awning to take my package photos, immediately we began to take pictures everywhere. Then I took my parents to where they would line up to enter the auditorium, there were also the parents of my friend who like me would receive her Master's degree.
Al cabo de un tiempo llegaron otra amiga, compañera de trabajo y mi tío, quien fue una pieza fundamental para alcanzar dicha meta, ya que él me oriento y me ayudo muchísimo con mi trabajo de grado porque él es Licenciado en Educación, mención: Ciencias Sociales, con una maestría en Proyectos Comunitarios. Nos llamaron a ubicarnos en nuestras posiciones y al cabo de un tiempo comenzaron a ingresar al Auditorio Magdalena Seijas de López los familiares con pase.
After a while, another friend, co-worker and my uncle arrived, who was a fundamental piece to achieve this goal, since he guided me and helped me a lot with my degree work because he has a degree in Education, mention: Social Sciences, with a master's degree in Community Projects. We were called to our positions and after a while family members with passes began to enter the Magdalena Seijas de Lopez Auditorium.
Sin embargo, a mi me acompañaban 4 personas más mi hermana, mi tío, una amiga y su hermanita, ellos estaban mentalizados a esperar afuera, pero lo mejor de todo es que alguien le regalo a mi hermana y a mi tío dos pases y después quedaron unos puestos vacios y mi amiga con su hermanita también lograron entrar y poder ver en vivo todo el acto.
However, I was accompanied by 4 other people, my sister, my uncle, a friend and her little sister, they were all prepared to wait outside, but the best of all is that someone gave my sister and my uncle two passes and then there were some empty seats and my friend and her little sister also managed to get in and see the whole event live.
Mientras tanto nosotros nos formamos en la parte lateral del auditorio, y de repente las puertas del auditorio se abrieron para comenzar la entrada de los graduandos que entre aplausos y por especialidad comenzamos el desfile de entrada hasta nuestros puestos asignados.
Meanwhile we lined up at the side of the auditorium, and suddenly the auditorium doors opened to begin the entrance of the graduates who, amidst applause and by specialty, began the entrance parade to our assigned posts.
Se cierran las puertas, y el docente que da la bienvenida anuncia al maestro de ceremonia quien pide a los graduandos que conforman el pasillo de honor ubicarse en sus puestos para la entrada de las autoridades, luego se solicita a la Secretaría de la Universidad el permiso para iniciar el acto solemne de grado, una vez el permiso es concedido hace entrada el orfeón universitario para entonar las letras del Himno Nacional y el Himno del Estado Lara. Seguidamente se realiza la petición de títulos de pregrado y la juramentación para los graduandos de pregrado; comienza el conferimiento de títulos a pregrado y cuando culminan se lee y se firma el acta de conferimiento de títulos. Luego se realiza la petición de títulos de postgrado y doctorado para iniciar la entrega de los mismos, toco mi turno y estaba súper nerviosa y emocionada, pase me retire el birrete hice la reverencia, el director decano me coloco la medalla y la secretaria me entrego el titulo, al bajar me recibieron un profesor amigo y mi tutora. Para finalizar el acto la graduando de pregrado con el primer índice de la promoción y luego la secretaria en nombre de la rectoría de la universidad también dio un emotivo discurso de despedida.
The doors are closed, and the welcoming teacher announces the master of ceremony who asks the graduates who make up the aisle of honor to take their places for the entrance of the authorities, then the Secretary of the University is requested permission to start the solemn act of degree, once permission is granted the university choir enters to sing the lyrics of the National Anthem and the Hymn of the State of Lara. Next, the request for undergraduate degrees and the swearing in for the undergraduate graduates is performed; the conferring of undergraduate degrees begins and when it is finished, the degree conferring act is read and signed. Then the request for graduate and doctoral degrees is made to start the delivery of the same, it was my turn and I was super nervous and excited, I took off my cap, I bowed, the dean director placed the medal and the secretary gave me the title, when I got off I was greeted by a professor friend and my tutor. To end the ceremony the undergraduate graduating with the first index of the promotion and then the secretary on behalf of the rectory of the university also gave an emotional farewell speech.
Llenos de lágrimas, emociones, gritos y abrazos salimos del auditorio; yo fui directo a encontrarme con mi familia y en ese trayecto me encontré con profesores que me acompañaron en algunos cursos de la maestría, así como con mi tutora. Me encontré con mi familia y amigos y comenzaron las fotos con todos ellos.
Filled with tears, emotions, screams and hugs we left the auditorium; I went straight to meet my family and on the way I met with professors who accompanied me in some courses of the master's degree, as well as my tutor. I met my family and friends and started taking pictures with all of them.
Eran las 3 pm y estábamos en la Universidad desde las 10 am, el hambre era mucha y aunque durante el día la emoción no me dejo sentir hambre, después que terminó el acto si me dolían los pies, la cabeza y el hambre era feroz. Entonces junto a mi familia fui a comer para celebrar este logro. Finalmente logre concretar la meta, oficialmente soy Magister y solo deseo poner en práctica todos esos conocimientos adquiridos en pro de la Educación Venezolana.
It was 3 pm and we had been at the University since 10 am, I was very hungry and although during the day the excitement did not let me feel hungry, after the event ended my feet and head hurt and the hunger was fierce. So I went to eat with my family to celebrate this achievement. Finally I achieved my goal, I am officially a Magister and I only wish to put into practice all the knowledge I have acquired for the benefit of Venezuelan Education.
