Resistant to powdery mildew? / ¿Resistente al oidio?

Hello cannabis culture lovers. I planted these two boxes on September 27 and October 1. With these two I ended the 2021 season.

By planting them so late and outdoors, they immediately went into bloom and did not grow much. They receive so few hours of light and the temperatures are so low that they do not grow properly. That is why they tend to grow weak and sickly plants.

Powdery mildew is one of those pests that at this time of the year, at least here, is rampant and there are few cannabis plants that do not catch it.

Occasionally a strain resistant to powdery mildew appears, like these Jak Herer. The plants that have caught powdery mildew, are all full, the Jack Herer has not caught any. For things like this, is why I like this variety so much.

I won't harvest many buds, but with the lettuce, the preheirloom and the garlic that I see in the boxes, I'll get some more 😂

That's crazy! Perhaps you should disinfect the whole area between each grow. It's possible you have spores laying around, which is why it keeps getting bad. Also if I where yiu I would set up a fan to never let any water sit long enough to turn into PM

Outdoors it is difficult to disinfect. If the neighbor or street trees, for example, have PM, it will easily reach the terrace. The same seeds in summer or spring do not have PM. Now it is the weather conditions, few hours of light, low temperatures and high relative humidity. In addition, it has been raining for two days.

I think this is due to the fact that your plant(s) are not as healthy and "strong" (so resistant) as they should be my friend :(

I had some issues with this shit back in the days as well ..

But often, it also has to do with the climate, humidity and light ..

I hope you will harvest still a good amount!

Happy Growing ❤️

Thanks so much. The normal thing in the middle of winter outdoors is that they get PM, at least here. The rare thing is that they do not catch it. It is not the season to plant cannabis. I would be worried if they got powdery mildew in the summer.
I don't think I'll harvest much, we'll see.

You are welcome mate!
Ohhh I gotcha - I thought you have summer in your location and are able to grow normally.

I would be worried if they got powdery mildew in the summer.

Yeah .. "my friend" (lol) had plants Outdoor too and because of the bad weather here, they got powdery mildew in late summer :-(

I hope your harvest will be great anyways!

Wow... I am always being nagged by the WPM but I have never had it that bad, I'm spraying with a mix of Green Cleaner and lactobacillus and so far I have only controlled it. I have not gotten rid of it yet.
But yea its a bummer

(Edited)

Yes, PM in autumn and winter and red spider in summer are two nightmares. When they are in bloom I don't spray any product on the plants, I don't like it. If they have a lot of PM I use the buds to make oil or creams, I don't smoke them.
I know which strain does not get powdery mildew and I have more seeds. What I will do is to plant this strain at the end of the season and try to make more seeds by crossing it with other varieties to see if any offspring inherit this characteristic.
