If there is a God why is there so much suffering in the world?
This is a question we all ask ourselves when we are in despair because we believe that our lives should go smoothly without any suffering.

Suffering can fall into different categories which are;

• physical suffering

• Emotional suffering

• Mental suffering

There are also different things that causes suffering;

• Diseases

• corrupt people

• poverty

• earthquake

• flood etc.

It is not easy to understand God’s ways with our limited human knowledge. Let’s not forget that there is Devil who is also working to see evil and suffering in the world. And this started when Adam and Eve allowed the serpent in the Garden of Eden to mislead them into disobeying God’s instructions.

But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” 2 Timothy 3:12 ESV

God created this world to be peaceful and perfect, and he also created us in his own image. In the world today evil and suffering came in as a result of the selfishness of man.

Looking at the world today you can see that suffering draws many people to God, so I can say that sometimes God allows us to suffer a little so we can come back or come closer to him. When most people are happy and enjoying riches they tend to forget God.

God saves us from different incidents, heals us from different illnesses etc. so let’s not look at the suffering we go true most times it prepares us for what good is to come. Before a gold is produced it goes through fire.

When you turn to God, seek him and ask for his favor and mercy he can never turn you down. But I’m the world today not everyone believes in him. God is a miraculous God and not a magician, that’s why I’m church they ask you to pray and tell him what you want, when we pray he answers, most times it takes time to see results but it surely come to pass.

If there is no God, how can we explain our existence, and the existence of the world, most things happening in the world are beyond our understanding.
