The first person that taught me minimalism

I had a girl who lived a mile away from me, we were so in love up to the extent that whenever I want to see her she would come to my dwelling place, if not that people break up in a relationship due to one mistakes or another, I was someone in love who fervently thought that there would be no break up in my relationship.

She was this first person that taught me minimalism, unlike my father, he spoiled us, but I know it was because of the love he had for his children, he sometimes disciplined us maybe when any of us misbehave but aside from that, he was not teaching us minimalism, even when my mother tried to make us not to be wasting things, he was always against it and he mostly told her to allow us used whatsoever we want in the house, even if we broke our toys, he will promise to buy us another one.

But as I grow into a young man and I have to set a home of my own elsewhere far from my parents, therefore, I meet this girl whom my heart accepted and her ideology without my notice influence the kind of lifestyle I lived, she started ideolizing me with her lifestyle soonest and before I knew it, her ways of life was up all over of me.

I did buy anything I see and which I did not budget for it, at times, I will not have money on me after buying those things and I will be looking for where to get money, and mostly at times, the things I buy, I would not even used some of them, but the girl through all of that away fro me.

She started with my method of eating, because I eat varieties of things at once, I can chew biscuits and I eat doughnuts in less than an hour without me minding the time, she recite to me once more that people must eat three times a day, although she understands it might be because of the way I was raised but for the facts she loves me, she wouldn't let me continue this atmosphere of eating because it might makes me sick.

I didn't stopped it at that time she began to flog me at it, but before I realized, I was minimizing on the way I ate, and then, it comes to the way I buy things, a day i went to buy items in the shop, we went there and she do the selection of the item for me because I picking same products with different company names.

One first one year of being in a relationship with this girl, when I went home I was a different man and my mom was so proud of me she knows I was minimizing on the way I used things, she used me to set example to my siblings to follow, then she realized that it was a girl who I date teached me minimalism, although she tried letting me all of his children's to follow that way but father was against it.

My mom and Dad loves the girl so much because of the minimalism she taught me, even now we have broke up, my parents still asked me about her, it seems they consider her to be their daughter in-law already.
