West Indies and T20 cricket - no nation has matched the format and no team has won so much in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

Pollard was 22 when the West Indies won the ICC Men's T20 World Cup for the first time in Sri Lanka. Already an established member of the team, he scored 38 runs in 15 overs in the semi-finals of the tournament against Australia, the way he was in the innings and is still famous.

They blasted 205/4 in that semi-final and took out the match by 74 runs. They had a much tougher time of it in the decider, where they were held to 137/6 by Sri Lanka before bouncing back with the ball. As Pollard sees it, "it was destined for us to win that World Cup
