THE STREETS OF TWITTER (UNNECESSARY ADVICE)

As far as I can remember I've always known that the English word Toxic means something that's harmful to the body and as far I can still remember, I've not seen any space that's as toxic as the Twitter space.
In fact if there's any place that literally nurtures and thrives on being toxic, then it has to be Twitter.

I remember the first time I downloaded the app on my device and proceeded to create an account. To say I was scared to tweet anything is an understatement, because even terrified wouldn't be the right word.
After about two days of contemplating whether I would make my first tweet, I found myself deleting the app. Why?
Just the thoughts of having the app on my phone was almost giving both I and my device PTSD.

The streets of Twitter are not for the weak minded and to even have some level of safety, you need to go buy some first grade mental shields because once the heat starts, you'll be needing it.
You'd think birds tweeting signifies making beautiful sound, but the birds circling around looking for their next prey are nothing short of vultures. My friend once likened it to a place where just one mistake and even a seal team wouldn't be able to save you.

With all this you would think everyone would be escaping but NO, our ears have been glued shut and time and time again I find myself deleting the app only to install it again.
So far I've not had my share of dragging, so I've not actually learnt my lesson.

What I've done so far is that whenever I've got an opinion to share, I tell it to my friend and leave him to spread his neck for the Twitter guillotine.
I advice him most of the time as a good friend though, bro you can trend all you want.

Infact trending for something nice on Twitter is like comparing water to alcohol, it just doesn't happen because their very nature is different. Water can be used to quench fire, but alcohol makes a Molotov cocktail.
Being Mr Nice is not for the Twitter space, if you wanna be nice do it in these easy steps.

  1. LEARN HOW TO CODE
  2. CREATE YOUR OWN APP
  3. FINALLY, AVOID TWITTER

You just broke up with your girlfriend and you're looking for sympathy online, TWITTER IS NOT FOR YOU

You just lost your job and you're looking for financial advice, DONT OPEN THAT TWITTER APP

You know that saying where you hear once bitten twice shy, the thing is trust me you don't even want to experience the venom of being once bitten.

Incase you've got a tough skin and you're looking to spread yourself like butter over fire, I would still beg you not to make yourself a Twitter scapegoat because they'll drag both you and even ancestors you have no idea about.
It's funny that once you've got a target on your back, it'll take another scapegoat for the attention to shift away from you.

After so many years of experience navigating the internet, I'm very proud to say that I totally avoid the temptations of dropping opinions on the streets of Twitter.
