This can be just as effective as more visible actions, as the silence of a community can send a powerful, yet dangerous, message. You never know when it will be your turn where terror, fear and manipulation reign.

This form of censorship can generate a lack of understanding and tolerance for other people's opinions, as it demonstrates that only the "mass opinion" matters. Yes, in fascism, the leader is often presented as a representative of the people, whose actions are for the benefit of the nation or community. However, these actions may be more aligned with the leader's personal desires than with the real needs of the community.

Here Max Weber's concept of charismatic domination may be relevant. According to Weber, a charismatic leader has an extraordinary influence over his followers, who attribute almost supernatural qualities to him. This type of leadership can lead to a relationship in which the masses subordinate themselves to the leader, accepting his decisions as their own. Blackmail and economic manipulation can be enough to make everyone decide to keep quiet and give in to the claims of the minority.

It is important to remember that a leader's influence is not always negative; leaders can mobilize the masses for positive social change. However, when a leader manipulates the masses to serve his or her own interests, especially under the pretense of acting "for and by the community," it can be a sign of authoritarian and fascist tendencies.
