Esta es mi entrada para “Ladies of Hive Community Contest #109”. Si gustan participar en el concurso y responder alguna o todas las preguntas pueden ver el post aquí. Luego de aproximadamente 44 entradas sin participar, ¡he vuelto! Por lo que les comparto mi respuesta a la segunda pregunta de esta edición la cual despertó mi interés por tener un aire existencial.

This is my entry for "Ladies of Hive Community Contest #109". If you would like to participate in the contest and answer any or all of the questions you can see the post here. After approximately 45 entries without participating, I'm back! So I'm sharing with you my answer to the second question of this edition, which caught my attention because it has an existential feel to it.

💫 Si este fuera tu último cumpleaños, ¿cómo te gustaría celebrarlo y por qué?

Si este fuera mi último cumpleaños me gustaría celebrarlo despertando temprano para ir de excursión en un sitio desconocido para mí, descubriendo caminos poco transitados de la naturaleza, ya sea una montaña, cerro, playa o sabana, al lado de la gente que amo y me ama. Estoy segura que correría y gritaría mucho, me treparía en cualquier piedra, me sentaría debajo del agua de una cascada con los ojos cerrados mientras siento la torrencial vida del agua fluir a través de mi cuerpo físico, saltaría al agua confiando en que saldría a la superficie a pesar de mis deficientes aptitudes de natación, me recostaría sobre el pasto húmedo o la arena caliente, no me importaría ni un poquito tomarme mil fotos imperfectas donde luzca despeinada pero muy sonriente, mostrando todos los dientes que aún conservo, ¡pues no todos llegan a su día final con tan hermosa sonrisa! JAJAJA. 😁

Posteriormente, haríamos un picnic, algo bastante silvestre y cliché, lleno de frutas, pero la novedad es que habría un par de platillos que nunca en mi vida habría saboreado hasta ese momento.

💫 If this were your last birthday, how would you like to celebrate it and why?

If this were my last birthday I would like to celebrate it by waking up early to go hiking in a place unknown to me, discovering off-the-beaten paths in nature, be it a mountain, hill, beach or savannah, next to the people I love and who love me. I am sure I would run and scream a lot, I would climb on any rock, I would sit under the water of a waterfall with my eyes closed while feeling the torrential life of the water flowing through my physical body, I would jump into the water trusting that I would surface despite my poor swimming skills, I would lie down on the wet grass or warm sand, I wouldn't mind even a little bit taking a thousand imperfect pictures of me looking disheveled but very smiling, showing all the teeth I still have, because not everyone gets to their final day with such a beautiful smile! HAHAHA. 😁

Afterwards, we would have a picnic, something quite wild and cliché, full of fruits, but the novelty is that there would be a couple of dishes that I have never tasted in my life until that moment.

Como sé que algunas de las personas que amo no son tan aventureras como yo, y no las obligaría a ir a una excursión que ellos no disfrutarían, les delegaría encargarse de mi cena de cumpleaños. Al regresar de mi excursión, nos uniríamos todos, festejaríamos, comeríamos rico, exigiendo también otros dos platillos, bebidas o postres que nunca haya probado, porque hasta el último minuto quiero deleitarme con sentirme como si fuese la primera vez, con cualquier mínimo acto, sabor, olor, sonido.

Por supuesto, entre de las dinámicas de la cena, todos los asistentes deben contarme una anécdota que nunca antes me hayan contado, de preferencia alguna conmovedora o chistosa y entre risas, bailes, juegos y lágrimas, haremos de mi último cumpleaños, un día memorable que llevaré conmigo a la eternidad...

Since I know that some of the people I love are not as adventurous as I am, and I wouldn't force them to go on an excursion they wouldn't enjoy, I would delegate them to take care of my birthday dinner. Upon returning from my excursion, we would all join together, celebrate, eat delicious food, demanding also two other dishes, drinks or desserts that I have never tasted, because until the last minute I want to delight myself with feeling as if it were the first time, with any slightest act, taste, smell, sound.

Of course, among the dynamics of the dinner, all attendees must tell me an anecdote that they have never told me before, preferably a touching or funny one, and between laughter, dancing, games and tears, we will make my last birthday a memorable day that I will carry with me to eternity...

¡Disfruté participar nuevamente en otra ronda de este concurso! Sin duda la muerte es un tema que debe ser conversado, honrado y concebido como parte de la vida y no como un opuesto a ella, pues cada ser humano es un continuo ciclo de vida/muerte/vida.

I enjoyed participating again in another round of this contest! Without a doubt death is a topic that should be talked about, honored and conceived as part of life and not as an opposite to it, as every human being is a continuous cycle of life/death/life.
