The craze for power is quite overwhelming in this our contemporary world. From the littlest power to the greatest power, all is power. They tend to exert injustice just because they were raised to a bar above the other person. Although there are different kinds of power, some which bring about greed and selfishness, and power which brings about fame, opportunistic tendencies and bully.
For instance, power play could occur amongst students of secondary education, who have attained the position of prefect ship. Their jurisdiction has given them an edge above their peers. While some of them are true to heir campaign manifestos and adhere to rules and regulations. Same way others use their positions to be manipulative and trample on innocent students by claiming authority.
The power that brings about greed is the thirst for political power. This is evident all over the world. The masses used the franchise to vote for candidates that they believe would revive the failing country and bring good tidings. But reverse is the case when they get voted in. The manifestoes become redundant, they care less about the welfare of the people, they spend exorbitant and ridiculous amounts of money on projects that would not even last a year. They use power to sort themselves and their families.
Don't get me wrong, power play can happen at any level. It could be between the landlord and the tenants, the gateman and his assistant, the proprietor and teachers, the CEO and staff.... The list goes on.
Life can happen at anytime, exerting excessive power in a place of work is not really necessary as things can turn around sometimes. Let's take it easy with power tussle on people who cant defend themselves because of the stigma associated with this, it dampens self esteem.

Thank you for reading.
