A Cassava Farm- 🌿🌿 For the making of Garri and other products

Here is the Cassava Farm right behind my department, The department of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering. These Cassavas were planted between the 8 months we were at home. Now we're back to school and some are grown so well and ready to be harvested.

The farm is a very big one, it is a large scale farming. And the whole farm is covered with cassava roots.

Cassava

Cassava is a commonly produced food crop in the world. It is a carbohydrate-rich food source that is consumed in many forms while still in its unpeeled natural state, once processed as a flour or in its dried, unpeeled form.

It is an important food crop due to its carbohydrate content. They are eaten boiled, fried or ground into a flour called 'Garri'. Cassava is well known as the main ingredient used in the preparation of tapioca pudding. In Nigeria, the root has enjoyed enormous popularity throughout the ages and is an important part of the traditional diet.
