Here's my participation in the BeerSaturday 350 with my second beer bought at the microbrewery Auberge Sutton Brouërie during my visit to Mont Sutton in Quebec. After a great day's skiing and before heading back to Montreal, we had stopped for eating and having a good beer. Comfort after effort 😀. I had taken the opportunity to buy two bottles, including the Assemblage à Francky #1 see BeerSaturday 347. This time it's the Barre à Mine (Mining Rod), a stout.

Voici ma participation au BeerSaturday 350 avec ma deuxième bière achetée à la microbrasserie Auberge Sutton Brouërie lors de mon passage au Mont Sutton au Québec. Après une belle journée de ski et avant le retour sur Montréal, nous nous étions arrêtés manger un morceau et prendre une bonne bière. Le réconfort après l'effort 😀. J'avais profité de l'occasion pour acheter deux bouteilles dont la Assemblage à Francky #1 voir BeerSaturday 347. Cette fois-ci il s'agit de la Barre à Mine, une stout.

I'm in my Stout period after the Stout Expresso from the Saint Arnould brewery BeerSaturday 349. Perhaps because St. Patrick's Day has just passed.

Je suis dans ma période Stout après la Stout Expresso de la brasserie Saint Arnould BeerSaturday 349. Peut-être à cause de la Saint-Patrick qui vient juste de passer 🤔.

The presentation is exactly the same as the one given at BeerSaturday 347. But for the new or simply forgotten 😀, here's a brief presentation. The Brouërie, a Frenchized spelling of Brewery, was launched in 2015 by 4 friends including Patrick Roy master brewer (from Dunham Brewery).

La présentation est exactement la même que celle fait lors du BeerSaturday 347. Mais pour les nouveaux ou les étourdis 😀, voila une brève présentation. La Brouërie, écriture francisée de Brewery, a été lancé en 2015 par 4 amis dont Patrick Roy maître brasseur (un ancien de la brasserie Dunham).*

🍺 Tasting / Dégustation :

The Barre à Mine is a 5.8% alcohol stout brewed with Brettanomyces yeast (known as wild yeast), like all the beers from this brewery. It is dedicated to all those who maintain the trails of the Parc d'environnement naturel de Sutton, hence the name Mining Rod. In the glass, we see a beautiful black color topped by a thick, brown head. In the mouth, it's a good stout with a light bitterness. I don't know why I expected a stronger coffee taste. Probably because of the last stout I tasted, which is brewed with coffee Expresso Sout: BeerSaturday 349.

La Barre à Mine est une stout avec 5.8% d'alcool brassée avec les levures Brettanomyces (dites sauvages), comme toutes les bières de cette brasserie. Elle est dédiée à toutes les personnes qui maintiennent les sentiers du Parc d'environnement naturel de Sutton. Dans le verre, nous avons une belle robe noire surmontée d'une mousse épaisse et brune. Dans la bouche, il s'agit d'une bonne stout avec une amertume légère. Je ne sais pas pourquoi je m'attendais à avoir un gout de café plus prononcé. Sûrement à cause de ma dernière stout dégustée qui est brassée avec du café Expresso Sout : BeerSaturday 349.

Like all bottle designs from the brewery Auberge Sutton Brouërie, it's the work of Marie Bilodeau, a Quebec illustrator inspired solely by the name given to the beer by the master brewer. Perfect with this bag with the Parc d'environnement naturel de Sutton logo.

Comme tous les designs des bouteilles de la brasserie Auberge Sutton Brouërie, il est l'œuvre de Marie Bilodeau, une illustratrice du Québec qui s'inspire seulement du nom donné par le maitre brasseur à la bière. Parfait ce sac à dos avec le logo du Parc d'environnement naturel de Sutton.
