CCC's Street Art Contest #267 Tyxna, Montreal
For the CCC's Street Art Contest #267 organized by @digi-me, I would like to share with you a large mural created by Projet Tyxna, a Montreal collective that is very active in the city. It is located near Morgan Avenue in the Hochelaga neighborhood (see Wednesday Walk: Morgan Avenue for more info on the neighborhood), this work called Les Chaises (The Chairs) brightens up the parking lot next to the Denise Pelletier Theater.
Pour le CCC's Street Art Contest #267 organisé par @digi-me, je vous propose une grande murale réalisée par Projet Tyxna, un collectif montréalais très actif en ville. Tout près de l'avenue Morgan dans le quartier Hochelaga (voir Wednesday Walk : Avenue Morgan pour plus d'info sur la quartier ), cette oeuvre appelée Les Chaises égaye le parking se trouvant à côté du Théatre Denise Pelletier.

Tyxna
Project Tyxna is a crew based in Montreal, including Fuser, Dodo Ose, AnkhOne, and Zek. This collaboration TYXNA was created around 2022 to respond to commissions for murals combining StreetArt, music, and visual shows. They're very active, see Mémé du Main, one of my favorite murals in Montreal (see CCC's Street Art Contest #151).
Projet Tyxna est un collectif d'artistes basés à Montréal dont Fuser, Dodo Ose, AnkhOne et Zek. Cette collaboration TYXNA a été créée vers 2022 pour répondre à des commandes de création de murales en mélangeant StreetArt, musique et show visuel. Ils sont très actifs, voir la Mémé du Main, une de mes murales préférées à Montréal (voir CCC's Street Art Contest #151).
This mural, Les Chaises, was created for the Mural Festival in 2022 and restored in 2024. It is located quite far from the main festival area, which is usually around Saint Laurent Boulevard. But it's cool to see that it extends all over Montreal. I tried to figure out its meaning, probably a tribute to the Denise Pelletier Theater, a cultural hotspot in the city. But I'm not 100% sure 🤔.
Cette murale, Les Chaises, a été réalisée à l'occasion du Mural Festival en 2022, restaurée en 2024. Elle se situe assez loin de la zone principale du festival qui est généralement autour du boulevard Saint Laurent. Mais c'est cool de voir que cela s'étend un peu partout dans Montréal. J'ai essayé de trouver sa signification, sûrement un hommage au Théatre Denise Pelletier, haut lieu culturel de la ville. Mais je n'en suis pas sûr à 100% 🤔.

It has been too long since I last checked out some of your art posts. Life has been getting the best of my time and I've been engaging a bit more with Snaps than full articles lately. But this is a fun piece, even though it looks like large chunks of the bottom of the work had to be repainted to cover up other graffiti.
My days are also pretty busy... it's as if, after the summer holidays, we have to finish everything before winter and go into hibernation 😀 But things are starting to calm down...
