CCC's Street Art Contest #98, Kevin Ledo, Montreal

After 2 weeks of vacations, I'm back to participate to the CCC's Street Art Contest. Here is my entry for this 97th edition with this magnificent mural, the first mural I saw in Montreal done in 2022 by the artist Kevin Ledo at the corner of Roy and Saint-Denis streets in Montreal.

Après 2 semaines de vacances, je suis de retour pour participer à nouveau au CCC's Street Art Contest. Voici mon entrée pour cette 97èeme édition avec cette magnifique murale, la première que j'ai vu sur Montréal réalisée en 2022 par l'artiste Kevin Ledo au coin des rues Roy et Saint-Denis à Montréal :

Robin, 2022, Montreal

I always love it when I leave my house one morning and not far from my house, I come across a street-artist making a mural as it was the morning of May 5th. First mural of the year, it's the end of winter and the end of the cold season of Street Art. 😀

J'aime toujours quand je sors un matin de chez moi et pas loin de chez moi, je tombe sur un artiste en train de réaliser une murale comme cela fut le cas le matin du 5 mai. Première murale de l'année, c'est la fin de l'hiver et de la saison morte du Street Art. 😀

Kevin Ledo

Born in Montreal in 1978, Kevin Ledo. finished his studies of Illustration and Design at Dawson College (Montreal) in 1999. With his murals, he aspires to create visually bold and iconic compositions, focusing on portraits with stylized abstract forms generally without background as you can see in this mural. He's also an accomplished artist exhibiting in many galleries such as Station 16.

Né à Montréal en 1978, Kevin Ledo. a terminé ses études en Design au Collège Dawson en 1999. Avec ses murales, il créée de superbes compositions visuelles avec généralement un portrait réaliste avec des formes géométriques abstraites pour fond comme vous pouvez le constater dans cette œuvre. C'est un artiste accompli exposant dans de nombreuses galeries comme Station 16.

This mural, Robin, was made to mark the upcoming release of the game Gotham Knights featuring the Bat Family (Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin) protecting Gotham City when Batman dies (I didn't know Batman could die 😀). We find the style of Kevin Ledo, realistic portrait on an abstract background.

Cette murale, Robin, a été réalisée pour souligner la sortie prochaine du jeu Gotham Knights mettant en scène la Bat Family (Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood et Robin) protégeant Gotham City à la mort de Batman (je ne savais pas que Batman pouvait mourir 😀 ). On retrouve le style de Kevin Ledo, portrait réaliste sur un fond abstrait.
