Not much info about Mistake Project, a duo of artists who appeared this year. They define themselves on their Instagram account : The 2 most powerful unknown street artists. 😀

The paste-up represents Maurice Vachon aka Mad Dog (wiki - only in French), Canadian wrestler born in 1929 in Montreal in a poor family. His life could be a movie... To get out of misery, he wrestles. He represented Canada in wrestling for the 1948 Olympic Games and won the British Empire Games in 1950.

Le collage représente Maurice Vachon aka Mad Dog (wiki), un lutteur canadien né à Montréal en 1929 dans une famille pauve. Sa vie pourrait faire un très bon film. Pour sortir de la misère, il fait de la lutte. Il représentera le Canada en lutte pour les Jeux Olympiques de 1948 et remportera les Jeux de l'Empire Britannique en 1950.

He became a professional wrestler in 1950 with the nickname Mad Dog. In the 60's, success came in the American Wrestling Association (AWA) where he was crowned 5 times heavyweight World Champion and twice in team (once with his brother Paul Vachon and another with Verne Gagne). Just after his retirement in 1987, he was hit by a car and had to have his right leg amputated. Very popular in Japan and the United States during his sporting career, he remained admired in Canada until his death in 2013.

Il devient catcheur professionnel en 1950 avec le surnom de Mad Dog. Dans les années 60, le succès arrive dans l'American Wrestling Association (AWA)* oèu il est sacré 5 fois champions du monde poids-lourds et 2 fois en équipe (une fois avec son frère Paul Vachon et une autre avec Verne Gagne). Juste après sa retraite sportive en 1987, il est renversé par une voiture et doit-être amputée de la jambe droite. Très populaire au Japon et aux Etats-Unis pendant sa carrière sportive, il est resté admiré au Canada jusqu'à sa mort en 2013.*

I didn't know the character not being a wrestling fan. But still interesting to learn about this out of the ordinary person : "I've spent my life trying to make people hate me, but I realize I've missed out."

Je ne connaissais pas le personnage n'étant pas un fan de lutte. Mais toujours intéressant d'en apprendre plus sur ce lutteur hors-norme : « J'ai passé ma vie à vouloir me faire détester, mais je réalise que j'ai manqué mon coup.»

This spring new paste-ups appeared, still with Mad Dog but in different configurations. Simple but effective thanks to the bright colors.

Ce printemps de nouveaux collages sont apparus, toujours avec Mad Dog mais dans des configurations différentes. Simple mais efficace grâce aux couleurs vives.
