Here is a new series with the artists Waxhead, Cryote and Labrona. They were quite active last year in Montreal and it's been like that for a few years now for our great pleasure.

Voici une nouvelle série avec les artistes Waxhead, Cryoteet Labrona. Ils ont été assez actifs l'année dernière sur Montréal et c'est comme cela depuis quelques années déjà pour notre plus grand plaisir.

Many posts about these artists, you can find the list of all the posts on Street Art #453. For new readers of this series, here is his biography... Born in Toronto, Waxhead is street-artist and creature creator (as he says) now based in Montreal. His style is quite unique, very coloured and detailed. His nickname comes from when younger he painted a dripping head on his school books, Waxhead was born.

Né à Toronto, c'est un artiste et un créateur de créatures (comme il se définit lui-même). Son style est assez unique et très reconnaissable. Son surnom lui vient de l'école quand il dessinait des têtes dégoulinantes.

And in the alley, just next door, he painted this door always in a marine theme.
Et dans la ruelle, juste à côté, il a réalisé cette porte toujours dans un thème marin.

Cryote

Sebastien Millar aka Cryote is a street-artist from Ottawa now based in Montreal. He's closed to the 203 crew. As you can see, he works often with his friend Waxhead.

Sebastien Millar aka Cryote est un artiste d'Ottawa maintenant installé à Montréal. Membre du collectif 203, il travaille souvent avec ami Waxhead comme vous pouvez le constater.

Labrona

Based also in Montreal, Labrona is a street artist, skateboarder, record collector. His work features characters typically Labrona-esques, faces with multiple colors underlined with marked black lines. For his prints, he refered to old masters like Titian, Otto Dix or Gainsborough, very eclectic...

Basé aussi à Montréal, Labrona est un street artiste et skater. Ses oeuvres sont très souvent composés de personnages Labrona-esques, visages de couleurs vives soulignés de traits noirs épais. Il est influencé par les peintres anciens comme le Titien, Otto Dix ou Gainsborough (large éventail).
