In the Ontario alley between the Legal Rouen Wall and the Frontenac metro station in Montreal, there is a lot of interesting urban art. This may be due to the presence of the store Le Sino, the largest urban art store in Canada, which has been open since 1998. It also organizes exhibitions with local artists. Until April 30th, the artists Baze72 (some posts on his stickers like StickerArt #036 and StickerArt #045), Asap and Ofusk are exhibiting there.

Dans la ruelle Ontario entre le Mur Legal Rouen et la station de métro Frontenac à Montréal, il y a beaucoup d’art urbain intéressant. Cela est peut-être dû à la présence de la boutique Le Sino, la plus grande boutique d’art urbain au Canada, qui a pignon sur rue depuis 1998. Elle organise également des expositions avec des artistes locaux. Jusqu’au 30 avril, les artistes Baze72 (quelques posts sur ses stickers comme StickerArt #036 et StickerArt #045), Asap et Ofusk y exposent.

This wall looks great with all these different styles. On the bottom left, it's a EkSept lettering, with an Asian theme on top that was done by Ofusk. But for the blue "Eole" head, I have no idea, maybe Tshoko as there is a Louis Letters head behind the fire escape. These two artists form the duo Les Sales Mômes. The whole back wall of this building has been painted, really cool how a backyard can become a work of art.

Ce mur est superbe avec tous ces styles différents. En bas à gauche, il s'agit d'un lettrage EkSept, avec au dessus un thème asiatique qui a été réalisé par Ofusk. Par contre pour la tête bleue "Eole", je n'ai aucune idée, peut-être Tshoko comme il y a derrière l'escalier de secours une tête de Louis Letters. Ces deux artistes forment le duo Les Sales Mômes. Tout le mur arrière de ce bâtiment a été peint, vraiment cool comment une cour arrière peut devenir une œuvre d'art.

Jest & Monsieur Malin

On the side of the building, there is this beautiful mural of a dryad with carnivorous plant hair. Too bad there were all those trash cans piled up in front of it. This mural was done by Jest aka The Moon Guy, an American artist now based in Montreal (more information on my post CCC's Street Art Contest #137, LP Montoya & Jest, Montreal) with artist Monsieur Malin. Unfortunately I couldn't find any info or even his Instagram account.

Sur le côté du bâtiment, il y a cette superbe murale représentant une dryade avec des cheveux plantes carnivores. Quel dommage qu'il y avait toutes ces poubelles entassées devant. Ce mur a été réalisé par Jest aka The Moon Guy, artiste américain basé maintenant à Montréal (plus d'informations sur mon post CCC's Street Art Contest #137, LP Montoya & Jest, Montreal) avec l'artiste Monsieur Malin. Malheureusement je n'ai pas trouvé d'info ou même son compte Instagram.

Nero & EkSept

On the other side, there is a nice patchwork with the little ghosts of Nero, a cool polar bear, another lettering EkSept with on top LP Montoya and his hypnotic geometric shapes.

Sur l'autre côté, il y a un beau patchwork avec les petits fantômes de Nero, un ours polaire assez cool, un autre lettrage EkSept avec au dessus LP Montoya et ses formes géométriques hypnotiques.

Omar Bernal

We end this building with a work by Omar Bernal, an artist also from Montreal with these raised fists, symbol of solidarity. Reading his Instagram post, I learned that this fist was popularized in 1948 by Taller de Gráfica Popular, a print shop in Mexico City to support revolutionary social causes. I learn every day, even on Easter 😀.

On se termine ce bâtiment avec une œuvre d'Omar Bernal, artiste aussi de Montréal avec ces poings levés, symbole de solidarité. En lisant son post Instagram, j'ai appris que ce poing a été popularisé en 1948 par Taller de Gráfica Popular, un atelier d'impression à Mexico pour soutenir des causes sociales révolutionnaires. J'apprends tous les jours, même à Pâques 😀.

SBU One

In Ontario alley, a little closer to Le Sino, there is this mural by SBU One, a French born artist who moved to Montreal as a graphic designer and photographer in 2003. He's now a tattooist and also an artist creating some of his zoomorphic animals and characters on walls. I love his universe and his style.

Dans la ruelle Ontario, un peu plus près Le Sino, il y a cette murale réalisée par SBU One, artiste né en France qui s'est installé à Montréal comme designer graphique et photographe en 2003. Il est maintenant tatoueur et aussi artiste réalisant quelques les murs ses animaux et personnages zoomorphiques. J'adore son univers et son style.

SBU One also makes these heads, like doodles. It took me a while to find out who was behind this face. / FR : SBU One réalise aussi ces têtes, comme des doodles. J'ai mis du temps à trouver qui se cachait derrière ce visage.
