Street Art #602 Wall TRU & LTG (February 2023), Montreal

avatar

Even in the middle of winte (February is generally the coldest month in Montreal), there are artists who, as soon as the temperatures are milder, go paint a wall. For it's passion. While I think twice before going out to buy bread, some are with their cans making murals. I have only one word in my mouth RESPECT. So here is what was produced in February of this year on these two walls often used by the crews TRU and LTG.

Even this llama made by Hoar needs his little scarf to not be cold.

WHO

line_grey.jpg

After the "version" done last December (see StreetArt #592), we're going to discover the winter works starting with the alley that goes down to De Rouen street.

EkSept & Rizek

DSC02178.JPG

We start with a regular here, EkSept. I think that with each new version of this wall, there is at least one new lettering done by this artist. I'd have to make a post with all of EkSept's lettering, just to appreciate his work in its entirety. What do you think?

Right next to it, there is a lettering by Rizek, a Montreal-based writer. At the time of my visit, there were several works by this artist as you will see.

I like this little planet or bubble with this dripping.

Mr Myrage & Ryzek

DSC02181.JPG

Again Rizek with this great skull completed by a lettering from Mr MyRage. Really great letters, my favorite part of the wall.

Really beautiful skull, no? / FR : Vraiment superbe ce crâne, non ?

Hoar

DSC02187.JPG

We're going to the other alley with Hoar, artist also from Montreal with a very Pop style with very cartoon characters like this llama, a little sad to hang out in the streets of Montreal in these temperatures 😀.

Hest

Then next to it, we have a lettering done by Hest aka The Wild Child in a rather different style than usual, more rounded and with a pretty cool filling.

Adi

DSC02191.JPG

And here is a work by Adi, graphic designer and artist based in Montreal. Easily recognizable with his always weird character and vivid colors.

EkSept & Rizek (Part II)

DSC02198.JPG

And we end with Rizek and EkSept with whom we started, we're in a loop 😀. And the T-Rex head is still there.

Favorite work ? Une œuvre préférée ?

It is the minimum a scarf, even for a llama, to face the Quebec winter 😀
Always quality on these two walls, I like to walk in this area to admire these works.
Have a nice day too

I'm a sucker for the little characters. I love the llama and the little guy with the hat. We saw some llamas in need of scarves yesterday. They had just been shorn and looked naked 😮

Yep always better with a little characters... They are lucky these llamas, sheared in spring, they could spend the winter warm 😀
Have a great weekend.
