We're still walking on the alley south of Masson Street in Montreal to continue discovering all the murals made during the last Canettes de Ruelle, the 7th edition of this very family-friendly StreetArt festival. I think I've found the right day to go and take some photos, as there's a lot less rubbish in this alley on Sunday, especially compared with Friday. All along this wall, there's nothing lying around. I like that 😀.

Nous avançons toujours dans la ruelle au sud de la rue Masson à Montréal pour continuer à découvrir toutes les murales faites lors du dernier Canettes de Ruelle, la 7ème édition de ce festival StreetArt très familial. Je pense que j'ai trouvé le bon jour pour aller prendre quelques photos, le dimanche il y a beaucoup moins de poubelles dans cette ruelle, surtout par rapport au vendredi. Tout le long de ce mur, rien ne traine. J'aime cela 😀.

Presque le "mur principal" avec au milieu le mur signalant la 7ème édition avec tous les partenaires qui ont aidé à l'organisation entouré par Moule à gauche puis Zork Ball, Kid Oldman...

WHERE

Canettes de Ruelle takes place mainly south of Masson Street in the alleys between 5th and 9th Avenues in Montreal. As I go along, I'll be adding the numbers of previous posts related to the festival to locate all the works made this year. We're now between 6th and 7th avenues, still in the festival's "main" alley, parallel to rue Masson.

Le festival Canettes de Ruelle se déroule essentiellement au sud de la rue Masson dans les ruelles entre la 6ème et la 7ème avenue à Montréal. Je vais au fur et à mesure ajouter les numéros des posts précédents lié au festival pour localiser toutes les œuvres faites cette année. Nous sommes maintenant entre la 7ème et la 8ème avenue toujours dans la ruelle "principale" du festival, parallèle à la rue Masson.

Moule

Moule aka Emmeline is a rather feminist French artist based in Montreal, often present at this festival (in 2019 StreetArt #242 and in 2021 StreetArt #440). She painted this shelter this year with the mural L'amitié f'est fuper (Friendship is super). Quite a fun work with those pastel colors.

Moule aka Emmeline est une artiste française plutôt féministe installée à Montréal, souvent présente lors de ce festival (en 2019 StreetArt #242 et en 2021 StreetArt #440). Elle a peint cette année cet abri avec la murale L’amitié f’est fuper. Assez fun comme travail avec ces couleurs pastels.

Syrup & Snaxx

Gabriel Lenfesty, aka Syrup as a muralist, is a painter who loves to paint birds, as is still the case here. For his second appearance at the festival, he enlisted the help of Snaxx aka Andra Postovaru, a Romanian artist based also in Montreal. Both artists paint regularly on the Legal Wall de Rouen. It seems that this work wasn't easy to do, as it was high up on a sloping roof. The result is superb despite the challenge.

Gabriel Lenfesty aka Syrup en tant que muraliste est un artiste peintre aimant beaucoup peindre les oiseaux comme c'est encore le cas ici. Il a demandé pour sa deuxième participation au festival l'aide de Snaxx aka Andra Postovaru, artiste roumaine basée maintenant à Montréal. Les deux artistes peignent souvent au Mur Légal de Rouen. Et il semblerait que cette œuvre ne fut pas évidente à faire car en hauteur sur un toit incliné. Le résultat est superbe malgré le challenge.

Zork, Kid Oldman & Peru

The next wall is a collaboration between three artists. The first part was done by Zork Ball. Second participation after his lettering last year with Kid Oldman, you can find this wall on StreetArt #551.

Le mur suivant est une collaboration entre trois artistes. La première partie a été réalisée par Zork Ball. Deuxième participation après son lettrage de l'année dernière avec Kid Oldman, vous pouvez retrouver ce mur sur StreetArt #551.

Kid Oldman follows with this lettering 🔼. We recognize his style easely. And finally, we have Peru 🔽, an artist originally from Peru as his nickname suggests. I really like the unity between the three letterings with the same chrome-effect fill.

Kid Oldman suit avec ce lettrage 🔼. On reconnait son style. Et pour finir, on a Peru, artiste originaire du Pérou comme son surnom le laisse entendre. J'aime beaucoup l'unité entre les trois lettrages avec le même remplissage effet chrome.
