Leo and other felines, few rhymes and less dimes

I may start this post like the 90% of the Hive today, talking about Leo Power Up Day, or as some call it LPUD. I like Leo, and I use both @leo.voter (where I delegated some Hive) and @meowcurator (where I delegated my Leo, as I do not really do any curation on this account), and I managed to power up 365 LEO this month, reaching a total of 25366. As my target was 25K for 2022, I consider this mission accomplished. Leofinance team is continuously improving, and this is one of my favorite Layer 2 tokens on Hive.

Alright, talking about Hive, today is the London Hive meeting at Cafe 1001, 91 Brick Lane, E1 6QL, organized by @tdctunes, starting from 16:00. If you are in the area, give us a shout! I am a bit excited, I must admit, as this is my first Hive meeting. I know, I know, I should go out of the house more often. Or so I was told.

Lately, I dabbled a bit into stablecoins, and now I am making strategic deposits around, with more than 400 HBD at 20% interest (almost 404 to be exact), and 1k on each BUSD and USDT savings on Binance (almost there, use this for fast access if needed), and my last discovery, once I finish with the first three, is to get some nice amount of USDC and stake it on Across protocol, using my Metamask. They are a kind of UMA project, so they are covered and safe, and they do a surprisingly good job with a small number of team members. I may be a bit biased as I used them before and I got some nice airdrop from it, but you can always check them (lately I try to diversify outside centralized projects, when possible).

Other than that, my highlights of today are the end of the current Splinterlands season, with some 74 Bronze chests to open, and the fact that Miguel Ruiz is having some heart surgery (we are fated to see all our childhood heroes die before us, isn't it?). By the way, if you do not know who Miguel Ruiz is, check at least one of his books - The Four Agreements, and you will improve yourself, I am certain, by reading it.

Ok, I know, I sound like a groupie, but this little guy changed my life, literally, at some moment when I was looking for answers. Short story, there are 4 agreements that you are doing with yourself, in order to live a happy life. This is common sense, but common sense is not something that everybody sees around growing up today, so I will go through it anyway:

  1. Be impeccable in everything you say. Talk openly, and sincerely, and only speak about what you know for sure.
  2. Do not take anything personally. Nothing everyone else does or say is directed at you specifically, everything is more like a projection of their own reality. Once you know this, you will not be a victim anymore, you will be immune to other people's opinions and actions.
  3. Do not presume or guess. Find the courage to ask for more details, and explain better what you want to say, in order to avoid misunderstandings, drama, and sadness.
  4. Do your best in everything you do, at any moment. Be mindful, your potential is ever-changing, and your best when you are healthy and rested is different than your best when you got the flu, or you are ill. By doing this, there are no regrets or self-blame, as you know that you did 101%.

The one that helped me the most was number 4, as I am overthinking most of the time, and knowing that I gave it all makes me at ease with the results even. If I know that this was my best effort, I will be happy when I get results and realize that I need more training, knowledge, or help, when I fail. The most difficult one to implement for me was number 2, and that one is still a work in progress.

That's all for today, I will tell you tomorrow how the meeting was. Take care and stay super!
