Is Education A Scam Or Not??
Education, as we all know is a thing that make you come to the lamplight of greater things, education is a great key to success and everyone seek knowledge and surely wants to get educated because they do not want to be a slave to anyone and they surely believe with the help of education, they can do this..
Let me tell you a little about education and what it entails. Education is a simply a process by which you gain a systematic knowledge or instructions from a school be it a tertiary school or a college.. Education is very important to the whole people but this time, is it a scam or not ? Let's look into this straight.
Judging from what the economy of the country is now, the educational system of Nigeria is not really helping and there are making the educational sector of the country look like a big scam because they are not in any way Interested in the the progress of the students which this is not encouraging at all. For some months now there has been issues with the government and the association of the students in Nigeria and they are not even giving ears to their request at all..
Asuu, is the academic staff union of universities are the body which see to the affairs of the students in every way in Nigeria and nation wide. They gave the government some guides which they are to follow but still the government still didn't harken to their request which has made all the Nigeria student stay back home for months now. If the government had taken the life of every students seriously I know by now the student will be facing their studies and not having the time to languish around..
This act is what I call a time waster because when a student is suppose to spend just 4 years studying a course, due to the nonchalant attitude of the government, the student will end up spending about 6 years plus the strike which will waste their time.. I really won't say school is a scam tho just because even through all this stress we all are facing, you will still see those that will still get a better cut in the place where education can fit in so I just believe and hope 5hat education will help everyone according to what the is meant to be..
In all these, I guess all parties involved are just looking out for their best interests. ASUU is only looking out for its members, those in government are only looking out for themselves and the students are also looking out for themselves.
That is just the sad nature of it all.

Most times I ask myself if education in Nigeria is really a thing to solely depend on.....I just hope the reward is worth the stress and time wasted.

I feel for the many students who have been at home since and it's not looking like there's any chance of even going back soon with the governments focus on election.
The best is to just maximize time and learn other skills, already there are no jobs even after graduation
Well yes tho, but one thing is not everyone will learn one job but one should just get something to do that one can rely on

totally agree with that ! Sure, there’s room for progression :) I’m mainly against the capitalist views in education, forced and sometimes fake productivity, ideologies and propaganda... against all types of domination in general :)
