Myla: A Sensitive Pisces Girl

Superstition

No doubt many people view astrology as superstition and nothing more. I think differently about that, for me, it is an instrument for self-reflection, and at the same time, it also gives me more understanding of the whole world around me. There is often a grain of truth in something, so why not astrology? It can provide insights that might otherwise remain hidden.

In the case of a dog, I see it as a useful tool to gain a deeper understanding of their sometimes complex character. And therefore you are better able to anticipate how you guide/educate the dog. I wrote about Skipper earlier this week, but as you know, Skipper is not the only dog in the house. We also have Myla.

A Milestone

So today it's time to look at Myla's zodiac sign. This Thursday our girl will celebrate her 15th birthday. It is a milestone that is not given to every dog, but in Myla's case, it is a reason to celebrate. And the same Myla gives me reason to believe even more that astrology does indeed have a large grain of truth.

A Pisces dog is a friendly, calm, sensitive dog with a lot of empathy. The dog instinctively senses when its owner is very happy or when it could use a little extra love. The dog will always be there for its owner in good and bad times.

She Doesn't Realize That The World Is Not So Friendly As She Is

If there is something that completely applies to our Myla, it is this piece. Myla is the friendliest dog I know. She is social towards people and animals, she will never get angry, she will never fight and sometimes it just seems like she just doesn't realize that the world around her does not always have her best interests at heart as she does with the world. And if there's one thing I can count on, in good times and in bad, it's that Myla is by my side. Not because she has no other choice. Myla is there because she wants to be there. When I am sick and lying on the couch, she is the first dog to lie with me. She quietly crawls against me. She won't complain, she's just there.

The Pisces Girl

Myla is almost fifteen years old. So you can say that she has been my best friend for more than a decade. And her playful spirit and unconditional love have already brought me many positive things. With her sensitivity she suits me, but she does not have the same melancholy tendency that I unfortunately have. She focuses her sensitivity on the people and animals immediately around her, she has nothing to do with the rest of the world. She is friendly and curious, but her antennae is focused on the people and animals in her immediate environment.

In addition to being sensitive and intuitive, she is also determined and knows how to persevere. Especially when she was younger, this could sometimes lead to difficult situations. Even though Myla has always been an obedient dog by nature, she has had her moments when she did or did not want something. And she certainly wasn't afraid to show that. This is also a characteristic that belongs to a Pisces dog.

An example is during our obedience training days, she refused to perform a particular exercise for months. Until the moment of the exam, where she suddenly completed the task like a real star without hesitation. The first and last time she ever performed that "Put Back" exercise. She just didn't want to be sent away from me, even for a moment. Her sensitivity wouldn't allow it. But her intuition and her unconditional support for the owner made her understand that she had to do it at that one important moment.

Connections and Meanings

Of course, this is all in hindsight that I now relate it to her zodiac sign. I'll be the first to admit that before I started constellation pyrography, I never even thought about checking what zodiac sign my dogs have. And so I never thought about the qualities that could come with that. Why I never thought about that is a mystery to me, because I have always been interested in astrology. It is not without reason that years ago I also owned several books on astrology and numerology. Astrology is an ancient art, and the more I learn about it, the more it helps me find a deeper meaning to many things. And so the idea that the stars influence the character of my dogs suddenly becomes very interesting. Especially now that I recognize a lot of what is being described in both Skipper and Myla. For me as an atypical Capricorn, astrology is a very fascinating way to better understand the complexity of relationships, including those with my four-legged friends.

Now according to astrology, I am lucky with both my dogs. With both dogs, I have a good relationship due to their zodiac sign. I'm a Capricorn and astrology says that I'm a good owner for Scorpio and Pisces dogs. For me, it means a figurative sigh of relief. At first, I didn't even have this wisdom, but even if I had known this it doesn't matter. As I wrote in Skipper's blog already, we love them anyway, and do what we can to make them happy, and no zodiac sign changes that.

What is certainly true in Myla's case is that her sensitivity has always helped me whenever I needed it, and conversely, I am always there for her. But her playful naughtiness helps me even more. That reminds me every day to continue to approach life with a smile, and that is certainly not unimportant for someone who can be melancholic in themselves.

Cheers To My Sweet Girl, and Happy Birthday in advance Myla!

Yes, dogs can be very sensitive, but honestly, not all dogs are like that. I've had dogs for years. And they are all so different, every dog has a certain sensitivity, but there is a big difference in the sensitivity level of each dog. Myla is the most sensitive girl I know

To be honest, I've never thought about it either. Until I started pyrography and wanted to burn all the constellations on wood. The first two I did were mine and my partner's signs, and then I started thinking about which sign I wanted to do next. Then I started looking for what zodiac sign the dogs had. And one thing led to another...

What a great post!! A Pisces dog seems to be amazing! And I find really interesting to apply astrology to the pets, since I’ve done that, and they have very particular personalities, same with humans.

Thanks a lot for sharing this post!!
