TWINS ARE SICK
Ser mamá de gemelas es algo completamente diferente, es tener dos personitas iguales físicamente pero totalmente diferente en personalidades, pero también es súper difícil que si una se enferma, se enferma la otra.
Vivo en un municipio donde se produce mucha caña de azúcar, y en ciertos y determinados meses del año la quema de la misma es muchísima, de hecho cuando las gemelas tenían un mes de nacida, ambas les dio bronqueolitis, estuvieron a punto de hospitalizarlas, no lo hicieron porque en aquel entonces el hospital más cercano estaba contaminado y el hospital del estado había explotado la emergencia pediátrica y no estaban aceptando niños, así que le hice su tratamiento en casa ya que tengo nebulizador, a DIOS gracias todo salió bien.

I live in a town where a lot of sugar cane is produced, and in certain months of the year the burning of sugar cane is very high, in fact when the twins were one month old, both got broncholitis, they were about to be hospitalized, they did not do it because at that time the nearest hospital was contaminated and the state hospital had exploded the pediatric emergency and they were not accepting children, so I did their treatment at home since I have a nebulizer, thank GOD everything went well.
El humo que ven en la imagen anterior es poco, para la quema que por acá realizan, hoy, por ejemplo se cumplen 2 semanas que han quemado todos los días, de verdad no es fácil, eso ha afectado mucho a mis gemelas.
Una de ellas tenía tos seca, pero una fuerte diarrea, no entendía la relación entre ambas cosas, así que antes de llevarla al médico, por mi cuenta le mande a hacer un examen de heces y una hematología completa.
Al visualizar lo elevado que estaban los leucocitos definitivamente supe que tenía una infección y que la misma era bacteriana por lo arrojado en el examen de heces.

One of them had a dry cough, but a strong diarrhea, I did not understand the relationship between both things, so before taking her to the doctor, I sent her for a stool test and a complete hematology.
When I saw how high the leukocytes were, I definitely knew she had an infection and that it was bacterial because of the stool test.
La otra gemela, la tos seca que tenía se le convirtió en una tos horrorosa, con muchísima flema, y la fiebre empezó a atacar, fiebre muy alta, así que también le hice por mi cuenta una hematología completa solamente, ya que ella no presentaba diarrea, y al percatarme de los resultados, lo leucocitos también salieron elevados, es decir, había una infección también, solo que a nivel de bronquios.
The other twin, the dry cough she had turned into a horrible cough, with a lot of phlegm, and the fever started to attack, very high fever, so I also did a complete hematology on my own, since she did not have diarrhea, and when I saw the results, the leukocytes were also elevated, that is, there was also an infection, only at the bronchial level.
Cuando las llevo al médico, por ser un sitio público, estaba relativamente solo porque no había pediatra, ya lo que estaban esperando se habían ido, pero en seguida llegó una pediatra, me percaté una vez más de lo malo y deficiente que está el sistema de salud aquí en Venezuela, estábamos mis gemelas y yo, ellas con la carita apagadita porque se sentían mal
When I took them to the doctor, since it was a public place, I was relatively alone because there was no pediatrician, the ones who were waiting had already left, but as soon as a pediatrician arrived, I realized once again how bad and deficient the health system is here in Venezuela, my twins and I were there, they had a dull face because they were feeling bad.
En el sitio Estaba un señor con su mamá, esperando que el cardiológo la viera, el doctor debia bajar ya que la señora no podía caminar bien, y su consulta era en el piso 1, esto me entere hablando con el señor, ya que me causaba intriga que estuviesen en la parte de emergencia pediátrica.
There was a man with his mother, waiting for the cardiologist to see her, the doctor had to go downstairs because the lady could not walk well, and his consultation was on the first floor, I found this out talking to the man, because I was intrigued that they were in the pediatric emergency room.
En el otro banquito estaba un niña de 10 años aproximadamente, esperando que la vieran ya que desde la madrugada se levantó con un dolor en el abdomen, la niña al principio estaba calmada, la madre estaba esperando unos examenes que le había mandado a hacer, ya que la doctora había llegado era solo mostrarle el examen para ver que arrojaban, mayor sorpresa cuando llegan los resultados que la niña pasa, la doctora al observar los resultados la palpó en el abdomen y diagnosticó apendicitis, la mamá salió desesperada llorando porque no sabía como iba a hacer ya que la debía llevar al hospital central del estado, porque en los hospitales de la ciudad no había material para operarla. Fue una situación nada fácil de soportar.
On the other bench was a girl of about 10 years old, waiting to be seen because since early in the morning she woke up with pain in the abdomen, the girl was calm at first, the mother was waiting for some tests that she had sent to do, since the doctor had arrived was just to show her the test to see what they showed, The doctor looked at the results and palpated her abdomen and diagnosed appendicitis, the mother left in desperation crying because she did not know what to do since she had to take her to the central hospital of the state, because in the hospitals of the city there was no material to operate her. It was not an easy situation to endure.
Ya una vez que la doctora me vio a las gemelas le mandaron el tratamiento adecuado a cada una, ya que ambas tenían infección, pero el tratamiento debía ser diferente debido al tipo de infección.
Once the doctor saw the twins, she sent the appropriate treatment to each one, since they both had an infection, but the treatment had to be different due to the type of infection.
Aunado a ello, también le mandaron nebulizaciones a la gemela que estaba comprometida a nivel de bronquios.
In addition to this, they also sent nebulizations to the twin who was compromised at the bronchial level.
A solo 48 horas de mandarle el tratamiento ya gracias a Dios les ha ido bien y la mejoría ya se empieza a observar.
After only 48 hours of treatment, thank God they have been doing well and the improvement is already starting to show.
