(ENG-TUR) BUDAPEST ADVENTURE: HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL RICHES – BUDAPEŞTE MACERASI: TARİHİ VE KÜLTÜREL ZENGİNLİKLER

In this article, I will take you on a trip to Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Budapest, the third stop of my European trip, is a beautiful city both day and night. Seeing, wandering around and traveling around Budapest gave me great pleasure. I want to share this experience with you.

Bu yazımda sizleri Macaristan’ın başkenti Budapeşte’de seyahate çıkaracağım. Avrupa seyahatimin 3. Durağı olan Budapeşte gecesi ayrı gündüzü ayrı güzel bir şehirdir. Budapeşte’yi görmek, dolaşmak ve gezmek bana büyük bir keyif verdi. Sizlerle bu deneyimimi paylaşmak istiyorum.

The tourist attractions of the city, which is divided into two parts by the Danube river, Buda and Pest, are generally located in the Pest part. Naturally, we spend most of our time in Pest.

Tuna nehri ile Buda ve Peşte olmak üzere ikiye ayrılan şehrin turistik yerleri genel olarak Peşte kısmında bulunuyormuş. Haliyle bizde zamanımızın çoğunu Peşte ’de geçiriyoruz.

Our first stop is Heroes' Square. Unfortunately, since there is an event held in Heroes' Square, we cannot visit this place in detail.

İlk durağımız Kahramanlar Meydanı oluyor. Kahramanlar meydanında düzenlenmiş bir etkinlik olduğu için maalesef burayı ayrıntılı gezemiyoruz.

Our guide also gives information about the city. We learn that Budapest has very strong roots and has its own language and currency. After learning that it might be more advantageous to shop with a credit card in the city whose currency is Forent, we leave for free time.

Rehberimiz bir yandan şehir ileilgili bilgiler veriyor. Budapeşte’nin köklerinin çok sağlam olduğunu ve kendine ait dili ve para birimi olduğunu öğreniyoruz. Para birimi Forent olan şehirde kredi kart ile alışveriş yapmamızın daha avantajlı olabileceğini öğrendikten sonra serbest zaman için ayrılıyoruz.

To take a lunch break, we go to one of the busiest streets of the city known as Vaça Street. There are many cafes and restaurants here. After eating, we set out to tour the city.

Yemek molası vermek için Vaça Caddesi olarak bilinen şehrin işlek caddelerinden birine gidiyoruz. Burada birçok kafe ve restoran bulunuyor. Yemek yedikten sonra şehri gezmek üzere harekete geçiyoruz.

First, we go to the Parliament building. We encounter a large square and a magnificent building. After spending some time here, we go down to the banks of the Danube river.

İlk olarak Parlamento binasına gidiyoruz. Geniş bir meydan ve ihtişamlı bir bina ile karşılaşıyoruz. Burada biraz vakit geçirdikten sonra Tuna nehrinin kıyısına iniyoruz.

Another thing I was curious about and wanted to see here was the shoe monument on the banks of the Danube river. These shoes have a special and tragic story. It represents the killing of Jews by lining them up on the banks of the Danube river in Budapest, which was under Nazi occupation during World War II. These shoes, lined up to represent, have brought the pain and horror experienced at that time to the present day. The flowers left by visitors move me. I don't forget to take lots of photos. I want to share them all with you.

Burada merak ettiğim ve görmek isteğim bir diğer şey Tuna nehri kıyısında bulunan ayakkabı anıtıydı. Bu ayakkabıların özel ve trajik bir hikâyesi var. 2. Dünya savaşının olduğu dönemde Nazi işgali altında olan Budapeşte’de Yahudilerin Tuna nehri kıyısında dizilerek öldürülmesini temsil ediyor. Temsilen dizilmiş bu ayakkabılar o dönemde yaşanan acıyı ve dehşeti günümüze taşımış. Ziyaretçilerin bıraktığı çiçekler beni duygulandırıyor. Bol bol fotoğraf çekmeyi ihmal etmiyorum. Sizlerle hepsini paylaşmak istiyorum.

After visiting the shoe monument, we continue to explore the historical and cultural riches of Budapest. We visited the Opera House and City Park. It was really nice to see the historical texture and fascinating architecture of the city up close.

Ayakkabı anıtını ziyaret ettikten sonra, Budapeşte'nin tarihi ve kültürel zenginliklerini keşfetmeye devam ediyoruz. Opera Binası'nı ve Şehir Parkı'nı ziyaret ettik. Şehrin tarihi dokusunu ve büyüleyici mimarisini yakından görmek gerçekten çok güzeldi.

Then, we meet at the point determined by our guide to go to Buda Castle. Buda Castle is one of the most important symbols of the city. It is important in terms of history and architecture. You will witness the magnificence of the castle in the photos I have already shared. We spent a lot of time with my friends in this castle, which reflects the historical texture of the city very beautifully. And we took lots of photos.

Ardından Buda kalesine gitmek üzere rehberimizin belirlediği noktada buluşuyoruz. Buda kalesi şehrin en önemli simgelerinden biridir. Tarihi ve mimari açıdan önemlidir. Zaten paylaştığım fotoğraflarda kalenin ihtişamına şahit olacaksınız. Şehrin tarihi dokusunu çok güzel bir şekilde yansıtan bu kalede arkadaşlarımla bolca vakit geçirdik. Ve bol bol fotoğraf çekindik.

Our guide states that this is one of the oldest and most impressive buildings in Budapest. It would not be possible to leave Budapest without seeing this magnificent scenic place. From this point, where we had the opportunity to watch the city from a bird's eye view, we saw the bends of the Danube river more clearly.

Rehberimiz buranın Budapeşte’nin en eski ve etkileyici yapılardan biri olduğunu ifade ediyor. Bu muhteşem manzaralı yeri görmeden Budapeşte’den ayrılmak olmazdı. Şehri kuşbakışı izleme fırsatı bulduğumuz bu noktadan Tuna nehrinin kıvrımlarını daha net gördük.

After our time at Buda Castle, we take action to go to the hotel where we will stay to rest. While traveling, our guide talks about the activities we can attend in the evening. We are faced with two different options. One of these is to take a boat tour on the Danube River and the other is to have fun in the famous bars of Budapest.

Buda Kalesinde geçirdiğimiz zamanın ardından dinlenmek için kalacağımız otele gitmek üzere harekete geçiyoruz. Seyahat halindeyken rehberimiz akşam katılabileceğimiz etkinliklerden bahsediyor. İki farklı seçenek ile karşılaşıyoruz. Bunlardan biri Tuna nehrinde tekne turu yapmak bir diğeri ise Budapeşte’nin ünlü barlarında eğlenmek.

I heard that Budapest is a city famous for its nightlife, but my friends and I choose to take a boat tour. Having come this far, it would be impossible to return without taking a boat tour.

Budapeşte’nin gece hayatıyla da ünlü bir şehir olduğunu duymuştum fakat ben ve arkadaşlarım tekne turu yapmayı seçiyoruz. Buraya kadar gelmişken tekne turu yapmadan dönmek olmazdı.

It is possible to have a wonderful night on the Danube river thanks to the night lighting. The night in Budapest was another beautiful one. The lights of the city reflected on the Danube River and presented us with a visual feast. This is how we ended our Budapest adventure.

Tuna nehrinde gece ışıklandırmaları sayesinde muhteşem bir gece geçirmek mümkündür. Budapeşte’nin gecesi bir başka güzeldi. Şehrin ışıkları Tuna nehrinin üzerine yansıyarak bizlere görsel bir şölen sundu. Budapeşte maceramızı bu şekilde sonlandırdık.

If you have the opportunity to visit Budapest one day, I recommend that you do not forget to explore the historical riches of this city and of course take a boat tour on the Danube River.
