The Hippopotamus

This Hippo was trying to breath in enough oxygen and I immediately captured the moment. Many of these creatures are found at Kazinga channel in the South Western part of Uganda.
Hippos are vegetarians and are the biggest water animals. They can hear, see and smell while in water and can hold their breath for about five minutes under water. They have a gestation period of eight month and only one baby is born.
