Exploring Charan Village and Embracing Nature's Beauty

I have brought to you the second day of the year and the second post. It's probably been 10 days since I stayed in Narkanda and my only job while staying here is to sunbathe. Because snow has not fallen yet, a very cold wind blows here... neither I nor my delicate body is ready for this cold wind.

I wake up and freshen up, come out and say good morning to the roses and pass a small smile looking at the sights spread around me. To have breakfast I go to the other mountain where Naveen's house is. I meet a white horse on the way, ask about its well-being and move ahead. Today the local deity is going to come to the village, so almost all the people of the village have gone to the temple.

This time the monsoon rains caused a lot of devastation, the effect of which is visible on the footpath as well. The footpath is eroded from one side and if it is not repaired soon, it will slide during this monsoon. After reaching home, I drink hot tea with cauliflower and roti and lie down in the sun.

After spending about two hours here, when I start going back to my place, on the way a dog joins me whose name is 'Kalu'. On the way we meet an aunty who is going to the temple. Some time ago JCB has cut the road here so that the villagers can reach medical facilities in case of emergency. Wood has been collected on the way for winter.

In Charan village, people are washing and drying clothes to take advantage of the sunshine. Washing clothes in cold weather is a big battle. After coming to the room, I click photos of flowers and come to the apple fields with Naveen where Naveen applies paste on the apple trees so that the apple trees do not become victims of moisture. After coming back from the garden, we drink lassi and lie in the sun.

After the sun goes out, I click the photo of Phle Kalu and ask him about his heart. To which he answers by saying “Why are you humans so mean”. I don't respond to his words and go to take a bath. Now after taking a bath, I am sitting in front of the stove and writing a post for Hive.
