Glimpses of Nainital: A Photo Story

There was a time when I got acquainted with new mountains. Two of my friends wanted to take me to Nainital to turn this acquaintance into a relationship but I refused because all my work was done on the ghostly computer of the office, otherwise who wouldn't want to develop a relationship and that too from the mountains. But the problem was that the computer, which was as huge as a banyan tree, could not be put in a bag and taken to Nainital. The situation of the problem was suggested by Master Saab when he asked to carry his laptop with him. The master's laptop was placed in front of the boss like a lollipop, which as soon as he put it in his mouth he said "yes" to this journey.

On the warm evening of 19th July 2010, we started our journey with a green and white cold drink. There was no limit to our happiness. Oh brother, we were going to a cool area in the scorching heat. The train was almost empty, so the place was occupied by just three of us. Whoever felt like doing it did it and Master did this. bless you master

At 11:30 pm the train dropped us at Kathgodam from where after paying Rs 300 we reached Nainital in a few hours. Here the light rain sprinkled and purified us. Next morning Sandeep making his report.

Now the master's turn, we got this room with wooden floor for Rs 600 but as of now it was no less than an office for us.

Suddenly the steps stopped at the spectacles shop when a brother wearing 10 spectacles on his head called out, “The spectacles are from Nainital”, come and take them for just Rs 100. Wash your hands in the flowing Ganga and put two glasses of Rs 150 on your nose.

Sheetala had just reached the gate of the temple when suddenly the sweet tune of the flute was heard from inside. The Master proved to be a true art lover when he spent some leisurely moments with the blind flute player.

After visiting Naini Lake, we started looking for a cheap taxi to go to Mukteshwar. The search ended as soon as it started raining when we booked a Maruti Alto for Rs 800.

Seeing apple orchards on the way, all three said in unison “Stop”, and the next moment our skulls hit the front seat because brother had suddenly applied the handbrake. It was not his fault that we screamed like this after seeing the apples.

DSC01056.jpg

The red apples on the trees looked as if nature itself was standing as a bride with a red dot in the shape of an apple. Our first encounter with apples was a bit sour because mine was a raw apple.

Master with a foreigner. You are 'Ramveer' who is a resident of Nepal. Come here during apple season and earn some money. They stay here the entire season and nurture the gardens like children.

Raising children did not cost us much. We found it a good deal for Rs 350 for 12 kg.

1 pair of free laugh near Mukteshwar temple.

The distance from the road to the temple was not much but we Delhiites were too busy measuring it. “I have seen such a stone for the first time”, after hearing the words of the master, we also reached there to see the strangely shining stone, and yes, to relax as well.

It took 30 minutes to reach the temple, the condition was almost bad but the views from here fascinated me.

DSC01121.jpg

The views seen from the famous view point can be summed up in a saying like “somewhere sunshine, somewhere shade”. The sun's rays breaking through the clouds were faithfully creating a unique lighthouse.

DSC01142.jpg

Today I am above the sky below”, it is only the mountains where the Master is always in his full form.

My work also started at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. It took 1 hour to make 18 calls on the phone to get the data from the ground team and then compile it in Excel.

Like an all-rounder, Master is a master in his own skin, besides being an expert in music, he also has a lot of knowledge about spirituality. #natural_state

DSC01181.jpg

The golden rays coming from between the dark clouds looked no less than sparklers. Nature itself has become a fantasy.

DSC01182.jpg

The call of the mountains was not ignored and the rain started. This scene was no less than a mixed soup where rain, sunshine, sun, rays, clouds, and mountains were all present for us to enjoy.

DSC01205.jpg

Before evening all three of us reached Nainital where first we had a full meal and then did some shopping.

DSC01207.jpg

Of course, many creatures were waiting for us in the zoo, but first let's see them to our heart's content, who are the protectors of this board. #Master_Lion_and_5_Dogs

DSC01207_1.jpg

Welcome to Naintal Zoo. It is strictly prohibited to carry any kind of food item here, I am saying this because it is important to give a social message. All three entered with a ticket of Rs 25, saying, “Let's see what we will find in the zoo here”.

Got a chance to see many beautiful and gentle creatures but this deer was my favorite among all because it allowed itself to be touched

Another beautiful and unique view seen from Nainital Zoo.

After Mukteshwar Zoo, now it was the turn to visit local Nainital, where we started from this church whose name is “Saint Francis Catholic Church”. Like both of us, Sandeep also greeted “Lord Jesus” with folded hands. Ever since the three of us came back to Nainital, Master was looking a little angry and the reason was Sandeep getting photographed everywhere. Of course the ice cream was cold but the mood had become warm.

After reading the boat fare for one hour on foot for Rs 150, all three chatted for some time and it was decided that the master was not going to drive the boat with us. At first I thought that Master had refused because of Sandeep but after coming back I came to know that Master was enjoying sitting near some musicians sitting on the bank of the lake.

The last photo of this journey is in the name of me and Sandeep and why not because of the pain in my legs after boating for 1 hour.
