Monomad: Solang's Majestic Peaks Under First Snow
![]()

The Solang Valley, at 2450 meters, has already received its first snowfall of the season, and the high mountains above the tree line are covered in snow. I was fortunate to be there at this time, and it snowed for two full days. We stayed in our room and enjoyed the snowfall.
All the mountains featured in today's post are from the Solang Valley. If I were to name these mountains, the first one would be Mount Patalsu Peak, which is 4250 meters high. I have summited this peak several times. The second peak is Hanuman Tibba, which is 5980 meters high. I have long harbored the dream of summiting this peak.
Friendship Peak, which is 5219 meters high, I once summited this peak in alpine style in just 33 hours, and that too solo. The next few peaks are Shitidhar Peak, Shikar Bah, Mukar Bah, and the famous Seven Sisters of Solang.
Among these snow-capped mountains, there are some that don't have any names. I know this is surprising, but in India, all the highest peaks that have names and are at least 6,000 meters high are considered.
I hope you enjoyed today's black and white photos, and I'll see which one you liked the most. I'm leaving now. See you tomorrow... Until then, stay happy and have fun.
This is my entry for #monomad challenge.
