Wake up early in the morning and take bath in the river and then start your day

Seeing rivers is always relaxing and I am saying this because I love rivers. The name of my most favorite river is Ganga, I must have gone to see this river more than 50 times and that too by taking a road journey of about 6 to 8 hours. Today I am going to talk about Sahastradhara river. This is also a beautiful river but smaller than Ganga. Sahastradhara is a religious place and it is believed that bathing in the Sahastradhara river cures most serious diseases.

Passing through the Mussoorie mountains, this river reaches the Shiva temple where Shiva is worshiped along with the river. I go here at least once a week and because I have learned swimming last year, I am no longer afraid of entering the water. After going to Sahastradhara, I take a lot of bath and swim in the ponds built here and cool my body from the recent summer.

My mind also becomes stable after swimming in the cold water here. By connecting with nature, everything becomes fine from body to mind and when my mind is fine, it helps me a lot in maintaining balance in today's fast world. Here, ponds are made on the water of the local rivers so that the travelers can easily take bath in these ponds and after bathing, they can eat food from the shops of the local people and can use the changing rooms made by them.

Reaching here early in the morning always provides a good experience. Because this place is a tourist place, tourists come here in large numbers by 11 o'clock in the day. If I go early in the morning, I can enjoy at least two hours here. Sometimes I go alone and sometimes with friends. The water here is so clean in the morning that you can drink it. You can clearly see the water level and when the sun shines in the valley, you get relief from the cold water for a while.

That's all I will write and now you guys enjoy the photos. Now I'm leaving...see you in the next post, till then take care and keep smiling. Namaste

Yes I do swim in winters. I remember when I was in Lower himalayan range which is 2350 meter high. I swim there in a natural pond and temperature of water was freezing cold like ice.
