Hearing But Not Listening to God's Word. MCGI Topic Review

In a world filled with noise and distractions, it is often challenging to truly listen and absorb the messages that surround us. This struggle is not only limited to our daily interactions but extends to our spiritual journey as well. Many of us may hear the word of God, but do we genuinely listen and internalize its teachings?

In my upcoming blog post, I will delve into the concept of 'Hearing But Not Listening to God's Word'. We will explore the reasons why, despite hearing the word of God, many people do not truly listen or internalize its teachings. The Bible offers profound insights into this phenomenon, linking it to the influence of idolatry and the blinding power of the enemy of God, satan.

We will examine relevant passages from the Bible, such as Psalms 115, Acts 17, and II Corinthians 4, to understand the connection between idol worship, spiritual blindness, and the inability to truly listen to God's word. We will also discuss the impact of the 'god of this world' on our perception and how it hinders our ability to absorb the glorious gospel.

As we navigate through this exploration, we will uncover the underlying reasons that prevent us from fully engaging with God's word and the steps we can take to overcome these barriers. Together, let us strive to not only hear but truly listen and internalize the teachings of the Bible, fostering a deeper connection with God and enriching our spiritual journey.

I invite you to join me in this exploration and engage in thoughtful discussions as we seek to deepen our understanding of this critical aspect of our spiritual lives. Together, let us break free from the shackles of spiritual blindness and cultivate a listening heart that is receptive to the word of God.

People in our generation can hear the words of God but not listen to them. Brother Eli Soriano uncovers the reason why in the first of this two-part video.

In the conclusion of this two-part biblical answer, Brother Eli Soriano further explains what idolatry is and how it prevents man from listening and understanding God's words.

If you're interested in earning upvotes by sharing your personal insights on what you've learned from the videos, feel free to create a reaction post based on your understanding of Brother Eli's explanations. We'll review your post in MCGI Cares community, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us on WhatsApp at +971523490523. May God bless you!

This is very true bro hiro. I passed through this phase very well. I would listen and in the next few hours, everything is gone. But I thank God for how far he has taken me. Even though our righteousness is like a filthy rag before him, we still try to hacken to the doctrines of Christ. I won't miss this. Thanks for bringing this topic.

Thanks a lot. Listening to the word of God is for our own good, though God is delighted and happy with those who follow his words. May God continue to strengthen us.

Listening to God's word effectively will help us to obey him correctly. Sometimes we hear and forget what we have heard. This is an eye opener. Thank you. I will listen again.
