Holy Week — Is It Biblical? MCGI Topic Review

image.png

As we reflect upon the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are often confronted with the traditional belief that He died on a Friday and rose on a Sunday. I want to invite you, my dear brethren, to join us in re-examining this belief and seeking the biblical truth behind these events.

I encourage each of you to share your thoughts, insights, and questions on this topic. Let us learn and grow together in our faith as we strive to follow Jesus Christ daily and live holy lives.

We can find the answer to the bible by listening to the two-part videos.

Is the commemoration of Holy Week biblical? Learn the Bible's answer as Brother Eli Soriano discusses what corrections the Bible has for its remembrance.

In the concluding part of this topic, Brother Eli Soriano discusses several misconceptions about the day when our Lord Jesus Christ died.

If you're interested in earning upvotes by sharing your personal insights on what you've learned from the videos, feel free to create a reaction post based on your understanding of Brother Eli's explanations. We'll review your post in MCGI Cares community, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us on WhatsApp at +971523490523. May God bless you!

It's biblical in the sense that it happened...But there is no commandment to worship a 'week', only the 7th day ;)

May I ask a reference in the Bible that Jesus died on Wednesday?

If we read the story of Jesus in Mark 15, Jesus died on Friday and they buried Him before Sabbath.

I believe Jesus died on Friday and resurrected on Sunday.

these things have a weight, in the important meaning of the historical event, but more important than that is that He resurrected, an He isn't anymore in the cross, as the Chatolic Church keep showing the image from him, and this is as far as a mistake, He Died; Yes, but He also resurrected and did it all for Us.
