MY FREEWRITE - ANOTHER DAY IN THE STREET OF COMPTON
Murder is the order of the day in the streets of Compton, which the east coast had declared war against the west coast. Blue and red bandannas seen in a pool of blood worn by fallen soldiers and residents leaving in the affected areas ran for cover in order not to be hit by stray bullets.
The presence of security operatives worsened the situation, it was like adding gasoline to a burning fire. The duel lasted for several days and this crippled the commercial activity in this region, because of the fear of being assaulted or robbed. It’s so difficult to live here if you ain’t influenced by gangs or crime, it will take a strong conviction of self not to be influenced by the happenings around you.
I made it out of the trenches when I got my first job in New York as a book store manager, this news gladdens my heart as I prepare for my trip to resume my new job position. it was my wish not to raise the baby we were expecting with my lovely wife, and with my experience here as a little child I don’t wish so for my baby boy. I am so glad I can put this ugly past behind me.
