Life is hard
Not everything that glitters is gold, in fact gold has to pass through a process before it will become glitter.
I woke up this morning as early as 6:am after sleeping late last night. I dressed up for work: I was in the working place for 6 hours with a rigorous assignment in my hand. I finished my work by 3:00pm. I headed for a program that lasted for 2 hours at another location. After the end of the program, I headed home and logged into my splinterlands account to complete my daily quests.
I was supposed to complete my quests before the program but I had to go for the program first. Therefore I had to manage my time very well.
I have to keep working till midnight before I will sleep again, probably for 5-6 hours.
I came to realize that ‘life is not easy, you need to work it out’ nothing comes easy, the only way to conquer the hardship of life is to work smart and hard.
I asked this question from different types of people; The results I got from the majority of them is that life is not just hard but ‘too hard’.
When I was 15 years old, I discovered my father used to tell me that if you want life to be easy for you, you have to master the keys that make life easy. I never noticed that life is too hard until my father died; I began to suffer different types of psychological problems to the extent I was taken to hospital several times.

Few months ago, I met two students of the same parents. I realized that life is too hard when I heard their stories. Both have experienced what I have never experienced in my life time.
These two adolescents have suffered a lot of trauma in life; imagine at their age, you started carter for yourself- buying clothes, shoes, foods, etc. They are ophants and since both parents left them at age of 8, they have been taking care of themselve. At the age of 8, both have been doing labourer work and helping some people to do menial jobs after school in order to help themselves since no one comes for their aid. Sometimes they came to school tattered with empty stomach, tired and exhausted and began to sleep in the class.
One day, I was worried and wanted to know what happened to them: I called one of my students, asked him questions about the two students. He replied to me, “their parents are no more, no one to take care of them”.
When I heard this, I was shocked and felt sorry for both of them. I was transferred into the community january 10th, 2021. Both students became my close friends after I heard about their situations. I was trying to let them know that without your parents you can become what you want to become in this life. I took some textbooks from the school library and gave them to study. I told them that if they are promoted to grade 9 (JSS3), I will get textbooks for grade 9 for them.
I was surprised last two weeks when I saw their results, one of them had 81.3% overall, while the second person had 64%.

I am very happy today because the letter I sent to Teach For Nigeria, one of the branches of Teach For All, has been granted and they sent one of their staff to my school to check for both students. I am happy because school materials will be provided for these students by this organization. They will provide school uniforms, sandals, bags, books, etc.
When I heard the full story of these students I cried for them. The little boys had to go out begging for money before eating; they watched clothes for people, worked in the construction site by helping the builder to carry blocks and mix cement, and did farming work for people.
