Let's make a delicious and nutritious curry with Mung bean.

Locally known as "Mung Ata," green gram (mung beans) is a much-loved ingredient in many traditional Sri Lankan households. It is highly valued for its rich nutritional content and easy digestibility. Packed with protein, fiber, and essential vitamins, mung beans are an excellent choice for preparing a wholesome and heartwarming dish. Whether served for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this dish brings a comforting balance of flavor and nourishment in every spoonful.
Let’s take a look at how to prepare it step by step.

Required Ingredients...

🍀 200g well-boiled Mung beans
🍀 1 Cup of coconut milk.
🍀 curry leaves.
🍀 About 1 onions, finely chopped.
🍀 About 3 dried chili peppers.
🍀 2 cloves garlic finely chopped.
🍀 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder.
🍀 1/2 teaspoon of curry powder.
🍀 1/2 Teaspoon of turmeric powder.
🍀 1/2 Teaspoon of Mustard powder.
🍀 1/2 Teaspoon of fenugreek seed.
🍀 1 Tablespoon of cocoanut oil.

Method of making....

First, take the well-boiled mung beans and add chili powder, turmeric powder, curry powder, salt, and mustard powder.

now, take a pan and add about one tablespoon of coconut oil, then place it on the stove to heat. Once the oil is hot, add fenugreek seeds, chopped onions, garlic, curry leaves, and broken dried chilies. Mix everything well and sauté until aromatic and lightly browned.

Next, add the previously mixed mung beans to the pan and cook for about one minute, stirring continuously to blend the flavors well.

Now, add some coconut milk to the mixture and simmer for about 5 minutes. Then, remove it from the heat.
