Theres a massive flaw in logic here that I see often replicated when people campaign for small decentralized platforms. You can't be an influencer if you're spouting off to an insignificant number of people. They're not really the same or even comparable even if the underlying technology acts similiar. The problem is that it's not about function. It's about discovery and attention. Many people on IG are on multiple platforms which are playing an attention game. Small platforms that struggle to get enough eyeballs can't fulfill this need which people often utilize to grow a brand or funnel people to other places. So these small dapps will never be able to posture against these big players so these little fish are way better off fulfilling niches that cover outlining needs in the same space. Once they've reached a certain critical mass then maybe these conversations can be started to then peel off these 'influencers' to a better home but we can't have the cart before the horse.
