Looking Back On Some Lessons These Past Weeks

Proper analysis of past events helps both individuals and the organization, the way hive learners takes out her time to X-ray her achievements is a good thing to emulate from and am sure this will help to repossession her for the next weeks.

Let's roll, in this edition with the second topic.

Few days from now I will be marking my second year anniversary in the Hive Blockchain, that alone means so much to me because it has been from one level of growth to another and hive learners is one of the communities that helped me through in this journey so far. At the moment I can't really say if I started the first edition with the community but am sure I joined at the early stage, Let me talk about some lessons I learnt from this community in this period.

Consistency
One good lesson I have learnt this period is that consistency matters in every we do, there were times for one reason or the other I stopped writing coming back to pick up my pen gets difficult and most times I get discouraged. I remember sometimes I get across to my dear sister (name withheld) to tell her what am facing, she will be like I should continue. Other times, some persons looking up to me will be like, now you stopped writing, how do you want us to cope? All those words put together gets back to me and serve as a motivation tablet for me to keep the consistency going. Growing in this system and any other takes a little while. One thing that confuses some newbies is the great testimonials and results they see up and down. Now I don't share so much of my results, I share the difficult part because even a child don't grow same they he is given birth to...growth is a process and so also Hive.

Originality
Hive does not expect anyone to manufacture write ups from the moon, or just to go copy from somewhere to come and paste in your blog. Everyone is encouraged to be himself, just create a good style and flow with it. Contests in the community does not say differently, I have seen severally how people try to pant pictures of what never existed just to make up a post. I understand there are times we are asked to write fictional stories. Most contests relates to us, so one don't have to fake it. So I have learnt to be myself in the most possible way I can.

Engagement
Another vital lesson I have learnt so far is the importance of engagement. Are times we tend to be so in a hurry to drop our post and forget the place of linking with other authors. And in engagement there is one that is meaningful another is just to fulfill all righteousness. Meaningful engagement breeds friendship and I have learnt that in this few weeks I have spent with hive learners and am not going to let that go any time soon.

Make Friends
As I engage with other authors I have tried to maintain cordial relationship with some persons as much as I can, there are those when I don't hear from them for a while I try going offline to check what's going on with them and I have those that do same to me too. I have learnt how not to just focus on the earnings but also building lasting relationship too.

There are still many things I should have know by now which I have not, and I am so determined to learn that, one of which is designing. Going over many persons blog I come across beautiful designs that I wish mine is that way to, going forward I will like to also reach out to some persons who I know are doing well in this aspect to help put me through.
