Hey everybody
Welcome to Gameweek 11. It is around the time where transfers are being made or have already been made. Players who do not have Haaland as a captain or vice captain yet may have to give into their stubborness as we are seeing history in the making here. Many players have Luis Diaz in their team but he was injured last week so be sure to take him out. Phil Foden looks like the ideal replacement but there are a couple of midfielders bossing the Premiership this seaosn and Bruno Guimarães is becoming one of the most transferred in players. On the otherside of it Salah scored a hat trick in Europe on Wednesday night so this might start him off scoring in the Premiership. He has only scored 6 goals since he came back from the African Nations League last year which is scary stuff. With Liverpool playing City this weekend would it be a chance to sub your Liverpool players or are you quietly confident. Let's delve into the games this weekend. The first one is tonight at 8pm GMT.

11TH place versus 7th place here. Ivan Toney is the one to watch here on Brentford. If he is not assisting he is scoring so he is a solid selection up front. They drew their last game and won the game before that so brentford are not doing to bad. Brighton are flying high but lost against Spurs last week. The departure of Graham Potter has not really affected their performance as Leandro Trossard is flying it at the moment and he is one to watch. There is always goals at Brentford so this game will have goals. I reckon it will be a great match tonight. A good kickstart to Gameweek 11.

Bournemouth have not been doing too bad since Scott Parker left the helm with 9 points from their last 5 games but I think Fulham may have to much for them on Saturday. These sides are hotly tipped to go straight back down so a win here for either team would be huge. Fulham do not know how to draw. They have won 2 and lost 3 of their last 5 matches. Fulham are also very quite around the fitness of Aleksandar Mitrovic who missed their last game and looks to be still sidelined with injury. If so I fancy Bournemouth here.

Leicester are in trouble. There is a cloud over the club as they have no money to invest and Rodgers is struggling with the players he has. They still shouldn't be in last place however as they should have enough quality to stay up. Losing some of their best players was not ideal and their new goalkeeper Ward is not ready for the big leagues. They can't sack Brendan Rodgers either because it will cost them 20 million. 20 million that Leicester don't have so they will struggle on. This game will be interesting as Palace have not been setting the word alight either but they have faced tough opposition. Crystal Palace are now a tough team to beat and they gave opponents a good kicking all thanks to Viera's approach. He is after transforming the club after Hodgson has left. They have some good young players and I think they will be too much for a Leicester team low on moral.

Forest are terrible. Losing 4 of their last 5. They are just a mess and the new players have not embedded yet. Their manager is the next to go I would imagine given the investment. It was like someone playing Football Manager with the amount of signings they made. No strategy to it whatsoever. Wolves have steadied the ship since they sacked their manager. Wolves are far better than where they are in the table. They are actually a good team that cannot buy a goal. But we reckon they will score tomorrow against a hapless Forest.

Spurs are not playing well but are winning which is the sign of a team that will go far this season. Conte said during the week that he now has a full squad to select from which is good news. Moura came back during the week and Kuluevski is now fit again as well. Richarlison maybe doubtful but it is precautionary and he can play if needed. The big question is will he play Doherty or Royal as right wing back. Doherty played well against Brighton and Royal played during the week but not very well.
Lampard is starting to make Everton look like a team again. They lost against United last week but you can see some young players starting to come through. Everton will be fine this season but Tottenham will be too much for them. Kane has 8 Premiership goals this season and he is in second gear. The game on Wednesday finally saw him and Sonny connecting like the old days. Hojbjerg has also been immense for Spurs and is scoring too. Maybe a wildcard entrant in your FPL team. A Spurs win here I imagine.

The match of the weekend is this one. Everyone will be watching this. Van Dyk against the beast that is Haaland. Someone said today that Konate will end up marking Haaland but I am not sure. How do you stop this guy. Liverpool are Liverpool. They won't try to stop him. They will just try to outscore him. Liverpool have been dire lately and their pressing game has fallen off a cliff. Players like Salah and Trent Alexander Arnold look a shadow of their former selves. Their new boy Nunez has not become effective yet but there is a player there. City on the other hand are flying high. De Bruyne cannot believe Man City have purchased him a striker as a Christmas gift. One that can convert his crosses. City have been outstanding this year. There are only a couple of clubs that can hurt them. Liverpool are one of them but not the way they are playing at the moment. It could be a City rout here but you can never tell in these games. Haaland to score again. You cannot really bet against him at this stage. Firminho is the one to watch here. He is scoring as well.

Chelsea are starting to look very good. Potter looks like he is working his magic and he is after bring ing a couple of players in from the cold. Tuchel is a great manager but he is said to be cutting with his harsh criticism and maybe young players these days need an arm around them rather than a telling off. Villa are useless these days and I can se Steven Gerrard getting the boot if they lose this one. The players are simply not playing for him and he has improved no player on that team. If anything they have got worse. Coutinho is a Gerrard signing and he hasn't scored in ten games. He needs to start dropping his star players or he will be out of a job.

Arsenal have been the best team in the Premiership this season and their victory against Liverpool has set them up as serious contenders this season. Jesus is an excellent signing and this year looks like the year that they will finally kick on. Arsenal have won 4 out of their last 5 games. The loss was against United and if you had seen the game , they really should have won that. Leeds are on a bad run of form right now and we believe this will continue. Martinelli is our wild card pick in this one. The Brazilian is playing great football and scoring for fun.

Southampton broke their duck last week and finally got a victory after losing the 4 games preceding it. West Ham had a bad start but are starting to look like a team again. Their new signings are starting to gel and I can see West Ham getting an easy result here. They may just be too strong for a Southampton team they play a high line. It will suit West Ham down to the ground and with players like Rice controlling the play, I find it hard to see a Southampton win here. Hasenhutt may be gone after this game. This is when club owners start getting worried if results do not pick up.

This will be an interesting one. Newcastle are playing good football under Eddie Howe but they are performing at the level expected and not much more. They will be going for the win on Sunday against a United team who have won 7 of their last 9 matches. With the exception of their shocking result to Man City last week , United have not been too bad contrary to popular belief. They are currently 5 points ahead of Liverpool at the moment. I will wait for a moment to leave that sink in!! It all depends who United play on Sunday. If they go back to starting Ronaldo I can see the magpies picking them off. If they play the way ETH wants to set them up or the post Ronaldo formation then United will most likely get the 3 points. A couple of players to watch here. Trippier is one of the most popular defenders in FPL. He is an excellent dead ball specialist also. Rashford had a bad game against Man City but overall he has been good this season. The jury is still out on Anthony. I doubt many FLP contestants will have him on their team as his stats are not right for the game. Not many goals or assists, I think this will be a great game to watch as a neutral this weekend, If Newcastle attack like they can then it may be an upset. But how United are this season would you call it an upset. Newcastle are the richest club in the world. It may be the last season we will be saying this.

So that is it from the Gameweek 11 preview. We are interested to hear your predictions and thoughts on the games this weekend. We love your comments and feel free to join in the chat on our Discord channel during the games. It is great fun if you want a laugh.

I don't want to be fooled by Salah yet 🤣 and certainly not against Manchester City. When he is consistently on a run of form, I will think about adding him 🤣😂

That whole right side is a problem for Liverpool. Salah missed Mane. Doubt we will see him get the returns he has gotten over the last few seasons.

And he came through against City. This guy is unpredictable.

I think Jesus is doing an amazing job but not one that translates into FPL points. Martineli seems like a good pick.

Yeah Martineli gets goals from midfield which is more points or even Saliba at the back. Hard to see past Kane and Haaland up front. Will Jesus get more than these two. I doubt it. so he is effectively the 3rd choice in a three up front.

Niceone @hivefpl. Great games coming out at the weekend. Can't wait for those games to start.. My eyes on the two giants Liverpool vs Man City. Haaland has unfinished business with liverpool. Man united vs Newcastle is another cracker. I would love it if my team arsenal wins this weekend because they looked tired against Bodo Glint..I want resounding win from my boys and yeah..Can't wait for the matches to start..

There are a lot of exciting games. For my front three I went Jesus, Haland and Wilson but them I think I should have gone with a top two; maybe with just Halaand and Wilson.

Don't get me wrong, Jesus is playing good but he seems to always drift away from the 9 position into that left side and it doesn't allow him to get those goals we so desire to make it to the top. He always has a great game but I think most managers brought him in because of his goals not because he has a great game play. Lets see how today goes.
