Never Judge A Book by it's cover: here's Why!

it doesn't take forever to know someone, there is an IQ I have developed over time, if I'm speaking with someone I met for the first time within the first 5 to 10 minutes of engaging with that person in a conversation i can tell 75-80% of his or her personality, believes, orientation and prospect, to me this are key things to note about a person i just met for the first time, the reason is every other thing that person does will emanate from these attributes.

first impressions can be very true and accurate on the other hand it can be deceptive, I'm pretty sure the normal quote "never judge a book by it's cover comes from it, because sometime what you think of people the first time you meet them can be true or false.

one thing I have discovered is the fact that time truly reveal people, many times people have fallen in love from the first glance, only to start living together and beginning to realize deep things they never saw from the beginning

the fact is people pretend alot, there's that perfect image we want people to see, so if you're going out you want people to perceive you in a certain way because that will be the bases for which they will address you, so most times we have to fake a lot of things just to get that absolute perfect image of ourselves.

personally to me, first impression gives a clue of who a person is and I also uses my first perception of them to relate with them based on what I was able to deduce of their personality, gradually from that knowing as I get closer other things about them will definitely begin to unravel.

I will never bank on first impression because it is deceptive and unreal, there are a lot of things we don't know about a person character, behaviors, likes and dislikes fitting in might become a problem in the long run when things begin to show up.

I love to be real, genuine and carefree, I love to be expressive rather than pretend to be who I'm not just for the sake of impressing anybody, now social media has made it more easier to fake a lot of things, I will always say this using one's 6th sense in life is very important so as to not fall victim of deception.

You sound like a person with high intuitive skills, and this is often a result of being observant.

As much as first impressions can be deceptive and it takes a while to truly know someone or access a situation, yoir intuition will play a positive role in helping you stay aware of what's in front of you. Lovely post!

First impressions can be really deceptive. Something I've learned myself. Nevertheless, presenting oneself in a very good and positive way at a first meeting matters a lot.
Time reveals. But not everytime that people have that time to know a person, especially when it comes to official matters. If you have good values and character, why not display them in the best way on that first meeting? When you're being deceptive, that's another thing. And time will also reveal that deception.

the thing is, people have ulterior motives in everything, trusting and believing any human at first is at your own risk

First impressions might give you a clue, but sometimes the true personalities of people are learned overtime: but by but and little by little. As for me, I take my time to really know people
