Report on Books and T-Shirts Donation in Tiyumba JHS

It was a great day with smiles. Smiles from hive that many people were curious to know what it was. the kids to the teachers were all curious to find out where we are from and where we stay. That was a simple question, “We are the future and we are here to make an impact and keep you for the future.” It was Hive Students Hub donation day in the heart of Tiyumba Junior High School.

We started the day with the teachers. Explain to them what hive is all about. Where we are from and all that. they thought it was just in Ghana. But we made them understand it’s from the world and we are all doing our part to make hive known. Not only that but also make a change n the world. To help people and make them realize we care even though we are on the web. It was a great discussion before we started our donations.

It was a great one. 600 books being given out wasn’t a joke. They had many classes which were divided into various levels. From form 1 to form three of which each level was subdivided into 4. They had popularity and we did manage them to get each student a book. We said that in our last announcement. So, from class to class, books were given to students. They were happening to receive it. They were curious to know what hive is and how its world is. We did our best to simplify it forms them and told them when the time comes for them to be a part of it, we are always ready to support them join.

Aside from the books were the T-Shirts for the students. We said 5 was to be given but we later gave 6 out to the students. We had an interactive section with them and most of those who had the T-Shirts are those who were curious to question us to know what Hive is. About 32 pens were given to teachers. Some teachers wanted to sign up but we assured them we will be back to talk about the scholarship students with them and then we will educative enough to have accounts. And the school account was also discussed and when the time comes, we will let you know about all of them.

Tiyumba school teachers were thankful to Hive for choosing them. They made up pen down our names as visitors from hive and why we came. We did and they assured us of giving us a letter of appreciation because they are grateful. Their students also showed their part. One of them drew hive the representation of hive and we are glad he showed his talent supporting the hive brand. We were grateful to them too for letting us help in our way. This is hive and we are for everyone.

Our hive people came around to support us. @depressedfuckup, @shamsudeen13, @nhaji01 @prof15, @abdul01 was there. we had other people who came to see how it would be done and we had one of them signing up. @anas123 is his username and he would be making his introductory post soon.

We want to thank @guiltyparties, @theycallmedan, @valueplan team, and everyone for doing this to promote education. The students were happy to see us and know that there is something better than web2 media. we made them know, when their time comes they will join us. And all this glory is to the hard work of these people. May we take this far and may the name of hive be heard from afar.
