Light Painting Trial Shot!

LP1.jpg

Tried some light painting at home today. Used an old bike scale that was on my desk for this shoot.

For the light painting I used my Mobile ring light. Used Nikon D5 with 50mm, F11, ISO 125, 5.00 Sec shutter. Also used a bit of mobile flash light on the bike.

Post processed on Lightroom!

Great! So my first try didn't produce such a great result as yours, because I was just waving the flashlights around wildly and was happy that I could paint with light during the long exposure. :-D

It took me sometime and a lot of youtube videos on "How to", to get a hang of it!

Nice start.

What did you do on post-process exactly? Seems like you didn't work with a dark background and you lit the wall behind with red or orange.

As lightpainters, we raise the challenge to do our pictures with editing. Keep on trying and you'll see that post-processing won't be necessary at all :)

Yeah, realised I kept the subject too close to the wall. I had kept an orange lid on my mobile phone flash to get an orangish tone. Was just experimenting 😅

Experimenting is the key ;)
Keep it up and don't hesitate to ask if you need tips.
