Enjoying some delicious mangoes now that they're in season and super fresh

Happy and blessed Tuesday to all my friends here in the #hivegarden community, which is undoubtedly one of the best here on #hive. This morning/afternoon I'm sharing these photos I took a few minutes ago while I was in my uncle's backyard, where there are several mango trees. Fortunately, they're giving us the opportunity to enjoy what could be considered our national fruit again, and even more so when it's in season. It's incredible to be able to harvest them and eat them.

This tree, being very close to his house, has already been cut down several times, and it has continued to sprout, as you can see. It hasn't been cut back in a while, but it will have to be done after this harvest is complete. This will prevent it from continuing to grow and also avoid the risk of falling mangoes damaging the roof. Also, the falling leaves are more likely to rot, especially with the recent rains.

Since the mangoes were quite high up, I used a wooden can to knock some down—in this case, just six in total. I made sure to choose the ones that looked ripe, and I wasn't wrong. As you can see in the photos, when you peel them, you can clearly see the characteristic yellow color that indicates they're perfectly ripe. The best part is that I can easily eat them with a knife, because when they're overripe, they get so mushy and I can't eat them the way I like.

It's absolutely wonderful when nature gives us the opportunity to enjoy fresh fruits like mangoes. I'm also very grateful for the support you've given my posts here in the #hivegarden community, which I love so much.
